Technicalities? I was simply pointing out that by painting all gay activists with one incident you are displaying a negative bias to gay people (Homophobia).
Your attempt at trivializing my point just shows that you are fully aware of your homophobia but are unwilling to admit it.

Yes, you are allowed to marry with whomever you want.

Thats not entirely true. You are probably not allowed to marry certainly relatives (sister/brother/father/mother and others). There are also minimum age limits. Also, there are limits on how many people you may marry at any given time - polygamy is not allowed in some countries.

The examples you bring up is the same for anyone.
Heterosexuals are allowed to marry their girlfriend or boyfriend, the one they love. They have the right to do so. Homosexuals doesn't have that right.

The question was: "Do I get any special rights for being a heterosexual? "
The answer still is: "Yes!"

opponents of gay marriage will tell you that the hetero do not get any special treatement. marriage is defined as a man-woman union. the gays, just as the straights, have the right to marry a person of the opposite sex(and appropriate age and others). just because gays choose to not use said right doesn't make it discriminatory.

which is a technicality, of course. but makes those bigots legally and logically white and fluffy.

marriage should be viewed kind of like a building that doesn't have ramps for the disabled. since they can force public buildings to build those ramps so a category of people are allowed acces, so to should they ammend the marriage laws so the gays can enjoy marriage.(or mostly be as miserable as straight people)

The definition is one thing, it can be redefined, as has been done in a certain amount of modern countries.

The question was: "Do I get any special rights for being a heterosexual? "
The answer still is: "Yes!"

Reason? Straight people has the right to marry the one they love. Gay people doesn't have this right.

you cannot define it like that. like twhite said, what if the one you love is a 10 year old girl? what if it is a weiner dog? you have to have rules.

nobody can define love so love cannot be in any legal document. if you want to enter a marriage you are allowed to, as long as you obey the definition of marriage.

yes they should redefine marriage. until they do, my example is the best bet. marriage as defined now is like a building with no disabled ramps. if they can force banks to put in ramps, they should force themselves to add amendments so that gays can enjoy too.

However - Miss California made a fool of herself, we all know that, but what could she do? It's not her opinion, it's probably her parents, even her subculture, these words come from. If she had a chance to think over her answer again, not after one second with the microphone under her pretty no ...[text shortened]... ht sleep, then she would have produced a better, more diplomatic, or more intelligent answer.
never mind that, isn't she divine?

So breast augmentation is a JW article of faith - who knew? Do they also support filming your sex acts - as she has also done? Plastic Surgery and pornography - the true pillars of the JW church?

Not so.
If the one you love is under 15 then you cannot marry them. This is a universal rule.
If the one you love is not of the opposite sex, then you cannot marry them. This is a universal rule (in some countries /states).
Where are the 'special rights'?
My point was that those of us who fall in love with our underage sisters cannot marry all of them at once. Its clearly unfair discrimination! The rest of you heterosexual and homosexuals alike have an unfair advantage.

C'mon TW, I think you know what he means.

If both parties are of age, not closely related and not already married, then heterosexual couples are afforded rights that are denied to homosexual couples.

I'm sure you also know the reasons for there being an age of consent and an exclusion for those closely related.

So you actually believe that straight people doesn't have more rights than gay people? Honestly?

He's just concerned about the rights of incestuous pedophiles because we know that their activities harm no one and homosexuals are harming him with every kiss.
