Well this is how I think about it as I look at scripture and ponder
the many paths to God.

Jesus paid a price, one that basically wiped out all our sins. He
gives eternal life as a free gift because he died for us and rose
from the grave, we cannot earn it by working for it, to attempt
to earn salvation means Jesus paying the price is not seen as
enough because we feel the need to add to it.

If any path that suggests there really are no sins, and there really
are sins, then all of those paths will fail. Why, because all of those
who go down them will find themselves in their own righteousness
which is sin filled before God on judgment day. Not a good thing to
do since there are no, do overs, once there all choices are final.

If any other path does acknowledge sin, but doesn't really do some
thing with it that God accepts. They all fail the results being the same
as those that didn't even acknowledge sin.

If you think you have found a path to God that God accepts outside
of Jesus. You have just called Jesus a liar for the claims he made
about being the only way to God the Father.

You can follow any path you want, even no specific path is choice
that must be made.

The truth will clear away all the lies, falsehoods, and errors so that
eveyone will end up where they are really going. I believe that the
path to God is a very narrow one, which is Jesus Christ alone.
