Plus God can get angry, jealous, full of wrath etc etc.
Clearly God needs something to appease / satisfy Him.
You can do nothing to appease God. No matter how powerful you think you are.

The bible says God is rich in mercy to some. To others no mercy will be shown.
The repentant receive mercy. The willful sinners [especially born again Christians], get no mercy.
I thank God He's not like you.

Its not about me or you or being powerful ... moron. The bible is full of examples of things people had to do to appease the wrath of God. Sacrifices, death, stoning, being righteous, performing rituals, observing rules.... the list is endless.

Read the first 5 books of the bible.

Read Matt 25. Goats who follow your church doctrine will be destroyed without mercy.

God doesn't need anything from you. You have nothing to offer. Only a fool interprets the Bible the way you do.

You said ..You can do nothing to appease God.

Even atheists and those who never read the bible can see that there are many illustrations of God being appeased by people.

The only illustrations of appeasing gods are those things done by people to appease false gods. You should know that already, but apparently you don't.

It's not possible to appease the only true and living God who needs nothing from His creation to augment who He is.

Pure logic.

Here is the what Moses is telling the Jews:
- God gets jealous
- God gets angry
- God kills out those who gets him angry
- So to avoid that KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS

(For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth. Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah. Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee. And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, (Deuteronomy 6:15-18 KJV)

So you can keep your church nonsense. to yourself

You have a peculiar way of perceiving the meaning of a text.

Do you actually think God wanted the Jews to obey His commands as an act of appeasement to ward off His anger?

Shallow and twisted. I pity you for the terror you must be living with in your relationship with God.
