I work with a young man who is a Muslim. He is not evil at all. He's from Afghanistan and he is very open about Islam and will discuss it. He believes that as in any religion there are fanatics that will do anything to justify their cause. It's funny because a lot of what he believes is similar to what Jews believe. He explained why he can't eat pork. He was explaining to me about jihad and the true meaning of what it means. This young man actually seems to have a lot of love for people and contrary to what seems to be the stereotypical view of Muslims he dose not fit it.

Then the fundamentalists began to persecute him and even referred to him as an infidel. Despite this, however, both he and his father still remained Muslims.

Even though there are some extremists, I think the islamic religion is quite interesting, and deserves some recognition.

Does he endorse the evil assertions found in the Koran?
Confused? Exactly. You should be. I'm no fan of MLK, but I wouldn't call him evil. You may not be a fan of the Holy Qur'an. I'm not asking you to switch. But don't call the religion evil because it's not yours.
