A group you apparently belong to.
It's quite an old term, somewhat attendant with smart aleck and it uses the term smart in a contemptuous manner, i.e., it makes light of the fact that the one afflicted (you) considers themselves smarter than they actually are, and notes how their supposed 'smarts' had a net effect of doing them in.

Like you, in other words.

Well, can't account for bad taste, I guess.

Oh I don't know.

I'm not the one trying to teach grandma to suck eggs...

You really think there is any way I made it out of infant school not knowing what
smart ass/alec/mouth meant?

You certainly want to make like you didn't.

Just out of curiosity, what is infant school?
They don't offer that curriculum here in the states.

Probably the US equivalent would be Kindergarten... But it's probably not
an exact match.

It's basically the lowest level of formal schooling in the UK.

[Pre School] - Doubles as daycare nursery.
Infant School - Starts from age 4 now I think.
Junior School - Ends age 11
[Prep School] - Usually 11 to 13
Senior School - Ages 11 to 18
[6th Form collage] - Ages 16 to 18
University - 18+

I find it hard to believe that any of your kindergarten caretakers actually called you a smart mouth/smart aleck/smart ass.

But then again...

Dr. Frank Turek talks about why the Kalaam Cosmological Argument for the Existence of God Succeeds.

Do you agree?
Do you disagree?

" Did I say anything about, the reason we believe in creation is because the Bible says so ? .... I think we ought to teach the evidence [of a beginning to the universe ] and let the chips fall where they may. " Dr. Frank Turek.

The last statement of the video.

I'm guessing he was looking for an elaboration of some sorts.

Nothing right now. Thanks for your reply.

Watch the whole thing ?
Or just dip your toe in the water to test the temperature ?

I will watch the whole of any rebuttal you think is effective, of comparable length from start to end, if you watch that video completely to the end. No cheating.

Deal ?

Anyone claiming to have watched this whole video should be able to tell us what the acronym S U R G E stands for.

If you cannot tell me what S U R G E stands for and why each letter is important, I doubt that you watched the video.
