Sure, I see it now, you're not brainwashed or anything...
My agreement with the WTC is clear as a bell. I just know that for one to think this is impossible with any religion is just jealous because they can't find this in their religion.

So just because we all agree and say we believe, this is automaticly being brainwashed?

1 Corinthians 1:10
New Living Translation (NLT)

10 I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.

Why can't this scripture apply to us? If not us then who would qualify?

I know the Vietnam War was not popular; but are you blaming the individual
soldier who did their patriotic duty for that?

What about these quotes. Lets see you remove these lines from the article and post the whole article ...

If I did not know what the Bible says and what Jesus taught in how we are to treat our neighbors with love which would really include all humans no matter where they are on this planet, I'd probably would have fought beside you. My Dad was in the Korean war and fought with his heart and is now paying the price for that with PTSD.
It is a fearful thing to think of some enemy coming to our country and killing us or changing the life we're used to here in the US. I'm human too and would be scared to death if we were invaded by another coutry that would harm us.
And I do appreciate that I was born here and have the freedoms that I do as I could have been born in a coutry that didn't offer this.
But......I know what Jesus said in how a follower of him and his teachings has to be. He gave NO exceptions to this command to love and to turn the other cheek.
Not only will I never kill another human but what kind of Christian would I be if I killed another Brother or Sister of mine in the faith?
So if my country gets invaded that would be terrible and it could mean loss of freedoms or worse my death but my faith is in God and his son Jesus to either protect me or remember me in the resurrection to a better life.

When Jesus told His disciples to buy swords, what did He want them to
do with the swords?

Well did he tell them to get the 2 swords in order to fight? If it was to fight why not get all the swords they could find? One for everyone?
And if it was to fight why did Jesus not only tell them not too when he was being captured, he actually heald the ear of the one guard.
So why did he tell them to bring the two swords?

Did you read my last post as there was no comment from you on that?

They were being sent out in twos, so each one would have a sword.
If one of them did not have a sword he was told to sell his coat to
buy one. If there was twelve disciples that means twelve swords,
two for each group of two.

Jesus did not ask his disciples to carry a weapon for protection or self-defense.
Rather, their having swords on hand on the night of his betrayal made it possible for
Jesus to teach them a vital lesson: “All those who take the sword will perish by the
sword.” Matt. 26:52.

(2 Corinthians 10:4) . . .For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but powerful
by God for overturning strongly entrenched things. . .

Yes indeed, typical baptist, has to take verse out of context of the entire Bible so as
to twist them to your ungodly agenda.

So he had them buy swords so when Peter cut off someones ear trying
to protect Him, a valuable lesson could be taught. Is that it?

P.S. I think the swords were to be used as protection against robbers.

Jesus did not command Peter to protect him, in fact he told him to return its sword to
its place, FACT, indeed, he stated that he could appeal to his father for legions of
angels to help him and here he wanted protection from men with swords against
robbers. . . you dont know anything about Christ or the Bible.

the purpose of the swords were to fulfill some fictional prophecy "And he was numbered with the transgressors." for that reason, only two were enough.

Not experts at all but we read whats in black and white in the Bible. You should try that.
Anyway it does not make sense that Jesus would tell them to get swords to fight but then tell them not too. I don't believe Jesus was a hypocrite, do you?
