Personally, and for the most part, I find theism packaged into religion to be a barrier to spirituality that is relevant to me. Proponents of all manner of religionist approaches to human spirituality tend to dismiss dissenters, and those not willing to submit or subscribe, as not being "really serious about being a theist". You're just one more.

If FMF says he is a theist because he believes there is a god of some sort as yet not revealled to him, then that is what he believes. Why do you have an issue with it, it doesn't affect you?
