This really seems a tribal god.

It was because Cain's didn't truly have it in his heart to give God a sacrifices.

The point of sacrifices are normally to appease somebody who is at odds with you. Sacrificing something to someone or something takes it as a given that you are not in favor with it. This doesn't make sense in many cases during the story of the OT.

He, funny read. I can't understand why there are millions of people who preach up their faith when they have no rational reason to believe it. They think it's the ultimate truth, bother everyone else with it and when someone logically explains that they're maybe, just maybe, wrong, they call him/her ignorant. Amazing. This just proves the old saying "Human stupidity gives us the conception of infinity".
