I don't understand what you mean by a "pattern of rest for us"? My rest comes at night when I sleep, not every seventh day. And why would God need to set a pattern of rest for us? This statement is extremely confusing to me. Could you explain it further and also explain why it's so imperative that God sets this pattern out for us?
