Heb.12:1-13
Hebrews12:7...Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by its father? 8 If God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all. 9 Since we respected our earthly fathers who disciplined us, shouldn’t we submit even more to the discipline of the Father of our spirits, and live forever?

You do???
I have a friend sober from June 24, 2013 he's been sober that long from OxyContin. It lead into a gambling addiction where he sold his Ford explore went up to the local Indian casino and blew all the money he sold for it! I even know testimonies of people blowing $100,000 on there cocaine addiction. That's like a price of a house! So see there needs to be disciplined somewhere someone needs to slap these people upside the head!

And.... some sci-fi is just crap. Point taken.
Dark Star is a classic (if not classy) film. I mean sure, an alien obviously made from a beach ball literally screams "Low Budget", but watching it outwit the crew member in charge of taking care of it was part of the creative genius of that film.
When the alien finally dies, it deflates just like a beach ball. And when the aliens antagonist leans over to look at the deflated (dead) alien the viewer is left to wonder... is he smart enough to realize that he had been consistently outwitted by a simple bag of air? Maybe, or maybe not, but you never really know.

I think poor production values destroy this film. But this also may be said of many mid-70s films.
