I don't think, given the circumstances, you should be advertising and venerating your son's abilities to make disclaimers against accusations about your own person. You should be either propogating your own defence, or reporting to feedback for false accusations, and have them removed.

As for your son's 'recognised' genius, if you really want to go that route, please tell us where this recognition is and let us read it.

P.S. You might try a little prayer ever now and then.
You pray to God for help? Then I have to inform you about TOS 3(b) that says:

"While a game is in progress you may not refer to chess engines, chess computers or be assisted by a third party."

So you are cheating, right?

How does a hillbilly fundamentalist cretin learn how to use an engine?

No, I do not pray for God to help me in chess games. Why should He
care who wins a chess match? I would not think about bothering
God on such a trivial matter.

I'm guessing this thread should be kicked out of Spirituality, since this witch hunt has nothing to do with Spirituality.

The testers recognized him as having scored at above what is considered
genius level I.Q. I do not know if there is any record somewhere that I
could refer you to, but he went to a high school that only high acheivers
could go and was in the gifted group that took college level classes and
still graduated as valedictorian. The school was called A.R. Johnson Health
Science and Engineering Magnet School. He is too modest to brag, so
as a parent I do all the bragging. But maybe you are right that his
acheivements have nothing to do with how intelligent I might be. So
forget it then. You can believe whatever you like.

Now of course if it was an atheist dribbling and slavering his/her way through this forum with a fake chess rating and he/she was called out on it you'd have a different opinion I wager.

I have noticed that wagering is a favorite ploy of atheists against Christians.

I contest your definition of genius, in fact, i once read an excellent essay by Mills I
think, it was at the end of a book, four dialogues of Plato, in which he elucidated upon
the term, eventually coming to the conclusion, that, genius is originality. Indeed, how
does one put originality into a numerical equivalent?

If what you say is true then congratulations for winning the IQ lottery. Even though we totally disagree on most things, I don't think you would lie about that. Still, it is only later in life that you see what seeds that kind of IQ produces. Some of them just burn out like the famous William Sidis, a sad story if ever there was one:

Lets hope your son does not turn out like that. Sidis discovered through his math the idea of black holes 20 years before Chandrasekhar but didn't publish. He taught himself greek and latin when he was 3, and obtained an MD at the age of 10 but ended up collecting subway tokens in New York City, dying in 1944, a penniless pariah.

Yes, I have heard it said the genius is on the border line with insanity.
I would rather my son to be very smart instead of a genius anyway.
I think that is the case with him. But I wish he were not gay.

Wow. Maybe your son wishes his father wasn't such a narrow-minded fool. I guess people always don't get what they want.
