Some excellent entries, I enjoyed reading them all.
Keeping it short and sweet here are my opinionated comments and rattings-
Taoman, A simple message clearly delivered.
Jaywill, felt slightly aggressive/ having an agenda and wasn't so clear or simple.
Rwingett, lovely analagy of the boat. Clear ideas (I don't agree with everything you said but I appresiate how you explained how you arrived at your conclusion/ideas)
Melanerpes, sermons can follow on from others, I read yours first to see if it stood on it's own and it did, there was no need to refer to another. I thought you made an interesting idea that the more we screw our lives up the wiser we get (at least I think that is what you ment?). I didn't feel like you had concluded your sermon.
Black beetle, Your sermon felt like the most original to me. Some parts felt a bit random, like 'look after the sick' and the third paragraph lost me, sorry.
Woodey, directly asked questions and lead us through answers, I personally like that style.

Announce the winner.... (drum roll) ...
No points for me??
well...among other things, I suppose that next time, it might help me just a wee bit to be within the confines of the chosen topic. ๐
Congratulations to Rwingett - I enjoyed your sermon a great deal and it was definitely my favorite - and a thank you to the judges and the other participants. ๐

I respect anyone who is willing to put their ideas up for judgement. Well done -- maybe the 3 winners could be the judges next time? ๐
As for a second contest, is everyone interested? If so, when should we have another?
