because i actually wish to try to determine, through the exercise of conscience based on an evaluation of scripture, what the perceived will of God is. Also i utterly condemn and resent your emotional blackmail and use of smiling children, its utterly utterly utterly contemptible!

And - whatever YOU determine the perceived will of God is, you refuse all personal responsibility, you blame God for it as if no possibility existed for you to get it wrong - you must think you are God - which is of course completely delusional and beneath contempt.

Another homophobe who thinks gay people aren't "normal".

That was what I was thinking earlier. What is a "perceived will" other than just a personal interpretation?

What is it Jack about the exercise of conscience that you do not understand? Please tell me Jack and i shall try my best to help you out in this regard. For this is the ultimate personal responsibility, or do you not know how the conscience works?

The point that is being missed here is no, there are no scriptures that say not to celebrate Halloween. It did not exist when the Bible was written. But if one was really interested in knowing what God feels about this, many many principles are in the Bible are being ignored. And in turn the promotion or ones association of anything that is related to Satan and the demonism is being accepted. If one was really caring about God's viewpoint then just a little research into the history of Halloween, one would see the paganism involved in it.
But bottom line it's ones decision to be envolved in it. But just as Adam and Eve chose not to consider God's viewpoint, so to is this ones choise.

Yes Galvy, but people are so glibly concerned with triviality.

Oh yeah, that point was totally missed. 🙄

I love how you liken letting your children trick-or-treat to original sin. Nice analogy. It really does emphasize the absurdity raised in my initial post.

You guys are really starting to sound like Jehovah's Witnesses...

perhaps as a 'Christian', if you made any reference, to any scriptural concept, any little biddy teaching, anything other than a type of emotionalism that may help someone make an informed decision, i could give this argument credence, as it stands, its devoid of anything other than well, triviality, what can i say, we would have been well as saying 'yes', its ok for Christians to celebrate Halloween, 'or no its not ok for christians to celebrate Halloween', and that, thankfully would have been that, and we could have spent our time in some more profitable discussion elsewhere, instead we are treated to glib statements, the basis of which is nothing more than, well, a kind emotionalism devoid of an reason, that is the real absurdity of this post.
