I would have to give you an analogy, to descibe it!

The electricity that you put into a heater, is the same electricity that you put into a refrigerator,....but the heater heats, and the refrigerator cools, so likewise when the living force is placed into a human, we act and function as humans, and when the living force is placed into a ...[text shortened]... whole unique universe of existance on the nano level, that we could not comprehend.

I see nothing 'spiritual' in that analogy.

Quite true.
The question then is: is there an argument against getting drunk?
I reckon it has to do with ego- the WEENING off of the temporary gratification of the ego and onto the permanent bliss of our true selves.

you do realize you can in fact be wrong, don't you?
that indeed there may be a god? maybe even the christian god? has this thought ever entered your skull?

that being said, what IS your point? are you like an atheist jehova's witness, going door to door, preaching about atheism until we bleed out our ears?

I took this differently. Quite often "believers" speak of how "happy" their belief system makes them when what really matters is how well their beliefs reflect reality. A drunken man's perception of reality is not very good regardless of how "happy" he may believe himself to be.

Yes, but a drunken athiest is probably still more accurate in their perception of reality than a sober, indoctrinated (organized-collective-religous) person.
