Perhaps I am being naive but I have always been under the impression that despite the chasm between ideologies, petty squabbles and vociferous differences of opinion, that most regular posters here would help each other out of a scrape. I certainly would.

As far as I understand it, yes.

I believe the Buddha came along and dispelled some Hindu superstitions and false assumptions.
