No evidence for God will ever be good enough for an atheist.

Just humouring you after what I think have been a string of silly positions you have taken. Were you really unable to discern the ironic nature of the suggestion and its connection to the content of our conversation?

I am just making a sidelong comment on the way you like to append the self-aggrandizing adjective "objective" to your superstitious beliefs and personal opinions, as you well know.

Of course any position that doesn't disagrees with your position is silly, it's as if you believe its true that you can't know anything yet strangely enough you seem to behaving is if you do know.

The funny thing here is if you reject the existence of objective truth as a starting assumption, your belief system is logically no more or less true than the belief system of a chimpanzee. I'm sure you find that thought very reassuring.

What nonsense. There are countless positions that I disagree with which are anything but silly.

Indeed there are, for example, political and economic positions that I disagree with that could quite easily be seen as making my own earnest positions seem naive and silly.

The positions I was referring to as silly were yours, specifically, and on this thread, as you know.

We've already discussed this. My position hasn't changed since we did. Neither of us need to repeat ourselves. Why don't you discuss "objectivity" with black beetle?

Of course you wouldn't want me to repeat that your position is self defeating.

I'm sure the kid in my class that always says he doesn't know also thinks everyone else is silly for venturing an answer.

Actually, no. It's OK by me if you say it again, if you want to.

As a matter of interest, what do you believe to be the component beliefs of "the belief system of a chimpanzee"?

Why have you suddenly changed your mind, have you just had another one of your realizations?

No change of mind on my part, no. You don’t need to repeat how you think the adjective "objective" applies to your personal opinions for my benefit, but if you want to repeat over and over again that you think it was somehow a conversation that you "won", then be my guest.
