@fmf saidNot good works it’s an answer to your question. These are some examples of what is done by individuals, families to help those in need on a level we can and have the ability to help. So on a personal level what do you do to help in these areas?
I am not interested in you or Suzianne making claims about your "good works" on a message board. The OP is political in nature. That was your choice. Bearing in mind Christian values, what should governments be doing about the homelessness in their jurisdiction within the confines of political realities. If your answer is a libertarian "nothing", feel free to say so.
@mike69 saidI think there is a symbiotic link between intelligence and benevolence. So, in simple terms, the smarter we get, the kinder we get. (The reason I believe that if aliens ever make it to our planet they would come in peace rather than in war, as the intelligence it would take for them to develop the technology needed to reach us would make it more likely they had a highly evolved state of being). As a species, I believe we will outgrow war and become intelligent explorers of the universe with a much more consistent sense of morality.
I hope you’re correct, I’m not seeing what you are? I see tech growing rapidly but where is the most money spent, I see people hating one another for any reason possible while being pushed in these directions. Does the one thing inside us that has never changed so far truly have a chance of changing for this advancement to happen and sustain itself. What do you see or hold on to for this moral evolution to materialize?
@mike69 saidYou go too far, sir; modesty forbids that I see myself as a 'Superstar', but I do thank you for the compliment.
As mentioned, small mind, inability to look beyond self, many post with no substance. No effort to understand, get along, and grow as a person. Have a good day superstar.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidI have read that but I think there are a lot of things to think about that will pop those balloons pretty fast. Well if out there and if so desperate species can do desperate things without hope so let’s hope you’re correct😁.

@mike69 saidThe OP is political in nature and it interests me. It was your choice to start an OP with a political slant. Bearing in mind Christian values ~ at least as you see them ~ what should governments be doing about the problem of homelessness within the confines of what you perceive to be 'political realities'?
Not good works it’s an answer to your question. These are some examples of what is done by individuals, families to help those in need on a level we can and have the ability to help.

@mike69 saidWhat is it you think I have demonstrated? I haven't asked you a single question about what you do "on a personal level". I am not interested ~ it's your personal business ~ so I haven't asked. And why are you not interested in what should be done on a political level about homelessness which is the subject that your OP mentioned?
I rest my case mr answer bucket.
@fmf saidOk sunshine play dumb, it’s the same old stuff with you. You expect but don’t give😉.

@mike69 saidI am not "playing dumb". I haven't asked you any questions about what you do "on a personal level" because it is none of my business and I am not interested. I do not "expect" any personal information about you aside from your perspectives, ideas, and opinions.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidIs there any evidence that this symbiotic link is also present in politicians and those elected to govern a country?
I think there is a symbiotic link between intelligence and benevolence.

@fmf saidShe’s the one who wrote that, it’s answered?
The OP:@suzianne
Maybe give all the homeless homes and enough food for the hungry? We know the "Christian" Republicans won't.
What do you think representatives elected to office as Republicans and Democrats should then do about the homeless and the hungry?
