@eladar saidThis is conspiracy-theory-level BS.
So you agree with me.
Op says that Popes do dictate the books in a Calvinist's Bible.
Btw, if you want to find evidence of aliens in the Bible look at Genesis 6, the Nephilim.
The Nephilim were the offspring of fallen angels and humans, no 'aliens' required.
@suzianne saidSo magical supernatural angels are a more plausible explanation than solid flesh-n-blood aliens? LOL.

Did it ever occur to you that strangely dressed foreigners descending from the sky in flying machines might be seen as 'angels' by primitive humans?
@bunnyknight said'Aliens' don't exist.

Angels do.
I don't expect to convince naysayers.
I didn't expect to have to convince a self-professed Christian.

@suzianne saidIt's simply inconceivable, that in the vastness of the universe, Earth is the only planet with life on it. Aliens, therefore, do exist. The only real question is if they have managed to reach us. I think probably not.

Something 'alien' is 'something different' to what is common.
Basically, we call them aliens because they're "not from around here".
If there is life on other planets, which logic says there must be, they probably haven't made it to us, as you said.
Therefore, no 'aliens'.
@suzianne saidNo, they are still alien to us, even on their home planet.

@avalanchethecat saidAs we ourselves are aliens to life forms on other worlds.
No, they are still alien to us, even on their home planet.
@suzianne saidAlien life is life on any planet that isn't our own. Aliens don't become aliens when they climb into a spaceship and traverse the universe.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidNo, but they do become "aliens" when seen through our narrow lens.

The entire concept is ridiculous, though, because the universe is so vast that even traveling at the speed of light (which is impossible), it would likely take them far longer than one lifetime to get here from there (and why would they?).
Aliens (in our nomenclature) probably do exist, but we'll likely never know it. Angels, on the other hand, are with us now.
@suzianne saidIt's more likely that there is some work around that enables FTL travel than there is an infinite, omnipotent, omniscient super-being with with immortal servants. You might not like that, but one of those options has infinite quantities in it, and that makes it far, far less likely than the other.
