Tell that to King David. He had a harem that would make a Mormon blush.
2 Sam 5
13 After he left Hebron, David took more concubines and wives in Jerusalem, and more sons and daughters were born to him.
Did God oppose this harem? Not quite!
2 Sam 12
"7 Then Nathan said to David, "You are the man! This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, ...[text shortened]... to your arms". Damn! To paraphrase Coletti, this is 'the ultimate arranged adultery'.

Ha! Have you watched TV lately? I know we have become hardened to it, but what persent of TV commercials do you think use sex as a hook to sell something. And do you think they want the "sex" to be associated only with plain old sex between a husband and wife? Would that be "sexy" to most people? Our whole culture is obsessed with sex (the more immoral, the better).
Originally posted by no1marauderYes I know what a concubine is. Yes David did steal an another man's wife. He was wrong. GOD let him know that he ws wrong. David did repent and he did pay the price for his sin. Yes he did have other wives, but at that time having more than one wife was permissive.
Do you understand what a concubine is? Do you understand what other men's wives are? Do you understand what the "s" at the end of David's "wives" mean?
i'm sorta confused as to what the argument is here. is sex before marraige wrong? according to the bible, yes. period.
bbar, why can they not experiment with sex whilst they are married, as opposed to before? what's the major difference, apart from doing it with other people? if both are unexperienced they shall have the same pleasure as two more experienced, if not more as they shall not be comparing the experience with others.
i find snoopdogs ladies more offensive but i'm not sure why. king david was meant to be leading by example, but i think this example was bad (but i'm not overly sure about the concubine stuff). snoopdog is also leading by example but i doubt if he cares about it. also, if you want a prime example of why concubines, adultery etc is a bad idea-look at david! i mean, his family wasn't quite what you could call "happy", by any means...(incest, murder etc...)
apart from that, i can't see anything to reply too so...yeah...
