Psalm 138:2
I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

Seems that while you're kicking the word of God to the curb, the word of God once again shows how superficial your words are.

Without the Bible you wouldn't know God at all. God's law is His word. ...[text shortened]... s word(the Bible)and believe it.

Or you can continue to dismantle it and see where that gets you.
People knew God and Satan, right from wrong, good and evil, righteousness and unrighteousness, long before the bible was written.

Premise: God is not looking for blind adherence to the Bible, God is looking for people who will seek him out, who will reason with him and who will know him.

Has anyone here advocated "blind adherance" to the Bible ?
Yes, effectively Joseph and KellyJay for two examples.

As Ghost of a Duke points out, you are way too off whack to qualify as blind acceptance.

But I’ve just used “the word of God” to make my case in the OP.

Did you not notice the scriptures I posted with all the other words around them making sentences which formed a premise?

And the whole world was drowned because of the evil in their hearts for it.

Thanks to the oral tradition of the Hebrews.

One act of “temporal” earth based judgment does not validate the existence of, nor the use of, a dungeon of eternal torture as “punishment”.

None of that relates to your personal deification, but to a clear misunderstanding of scripture.

Please explain how I misunderstand the word "you" to include myself as a believer in this verse.

" . . . He has granted to us precious and exceedingly great promises that through these YOU might become partakers of the divine nature . . . " (2 Peter 1:4)

Do I "misunderstand" the word "you" there to include a typical Christian believer such as myself ?

It also says "He has granted to us". Do I misunderstand the word "US" there to include myself personally as receiver of Christ as Lord and Savior?

Or are you saying that instead of "you might become partakers of the divine nature" - it should really be more accurately read by me as "you might [NOT] become partakers of the divine nature?"

Any thought on the OP?
