He would not have to damn then. He could pray for them to see the light. In other words, they still have a chance to be saved. If they reject their idols and turn to the one true God.

You most definately don't need to damn your mom to hell. All you need to do is be Jesus to her. Live as Jesus would. I know of many parents that came to know Jesus through their kids. Eventually they also wanted what the kids had.

Sitting in the pews most definatley does not save you. You can go to church all your life and still go to hell. You need a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. There is more to it than simply being religious.
