The will of Christ is the will of God his Father. You must at least know that.
Christ said what goes into a man does not defile him. It is what comes out of the man that defiles him. Smoking is irrelevant and its just another petty law by the fanatical Pharisical JWs that have influenced your thinking.
Mat 15:7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophes ...[text shortened]... :20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

i doubt that, i spend my time trying to help people understand Gods will through a public ministry, you are content with lip service, but hey, that's between you and God, at least my conscience shall be clear.

sorry i forgot to ask, make any disciples at your jumble sale? how do you teach someone about Gods will at a jumble sale? here have a crispy cake, lets talk about gods will?
Yeah, why not? where's the problem with that?

[b]no, there is no confusion, i have given you an illustration, please think about it. Also sex outwit marriage is condemned, its termed fornication, you really should marry the girl Noobster. What has capital punishment got to do with anything? It is up to the secular governments to make laws, we, as Jehovahs Witnesses are A-political, it is nothing to do with us how they administer their laws, we are merely counselled to obey the laws.[/b
You're 'illustration', was frankly absurd and didn't need much thinking about. That you can't see the lunacy of your illustration tells me all i need to know about your views on this topic.
you really should marry the girl Noobster
I'll marry when and who i decide thank you very much Rob. As i've told you before i am an evolved veing capable of thinking for myself. You for all your posturing and claims of evaluating the evidence clearly are not. You follow doctrine as set by the nine members of the Governing Body, along with the rest of the 7 million members of your group. You are merely a drone, told what to do and believe.
Originally posted by Proper Knobwrong, i have my own conscience which differs from others and is based an an evaluation and appreciation of biblical principles. that unlike others means that i need to use discernment, that takes knowledge, knowledge takes research, research takes effort. You dont know anything about it and i would be pleased if you would remember that.

The Bible states nowhere that masturbation is a sin, yet it is frequently stated that it is so.
the bible also does not mention smoking but it is also considered a sin. why? because there are principles as opposed to laws which are applicable. in the case of masturbation, i provided one principle, why do you not mention that? here it is agai ...[text shortened]... state has a scriptural basis. whether you accept that basis, is of course entirely up to you 🙂

(2 Corinthians 7:1) . . .Therefore, since we have these promises, beloved ones, let us cleanse ourselves of every defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in God’s fear.
therefore who can deny that smoking defiles the flesh for it actually involves inhaling concentrated pollutants into the lungs.
there are of course other principles which apply to addiction, and so called, 'second hand smoke'.

JW seems to be very much a "pick and choose" organization despite all the blustering about following scripture.
From what I can tell, they also allow overweight people, i.e., gluttons and judging by the posters on this forum the also allow the prideful. So they ostracize those who are "practicing" homosexuals, because "it's a sin", but allow other sins to be practiced.
Can you spell hypocrites?
