Jesus addressed a lot of issues like this in the parable of the wheat and tares. If you’re interested it’s in Matthew 13:25-40. When the time comes God will sort out who belongs to Him and who doesn’t
first wife. Consequently, his is not the judgment one should trust when discussing the topic of
marriage, much less whether Jesus was or was not married.

Matthew 22:30 - "For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like the angels in heaven".
It says that they are like the angels in heaven. It does not say that the resurrected are themselves in heaven.

"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls who had been beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and of those who had not worshipped the beast nor his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand, and they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years" (Rev. 20:4)
In that chapter which verse indicates that the resurrected are in heaven?
Notice also this explicit passage of praising God for what He has done for His redeemed:
"And you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they will reign on the earth" (Rev. 5:10)
Did you get that? " ... AND ... THEY ... WILL ... REIGN ... ON ... THE ... EARTH" (My Emphasis)
Well, where are they reigning who are resurrected in chapter 20?
They reign on the earth. Yet they are like the angels in heaven in this regard, that they no longer marry or are given in marriage. That is all.
The "kingdom of the heavens" in Matthew's gospel means the kingdom whose origin and source is from the heavens. It does not mean only by going TO heaven can one be in the kingdom.
Thusly Jesus says that the meek (of the kingdom) will inherit the EARTH -
"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth" (Matt. 5:5)

No.
I was watching John Hagge the other day and they said one of the reasons Jesus and Paul did not get married was becasue they know what they were preaching could get them killed. So that is why they might not have been married. They would have left family behind.
duecer,
===================================
clearly you do not understand the context of the discussion Christ was having. He was asked who would be married to a woman who had had many husbands(widowed) in HEAVEN.
=====================
A resurrected widow is not necessarily one in heaven. Seven resurrected former husbands are not necessarily seven husbands living in heaven.
Let's see the context. Let's see what they asked Him:
"On that day some Sadducees, who say that there is no resurrection, came to Him and questioned Him ..."
In context, what was significant about the Sadducees was that they were unbelievers in the resurrection. It does not say that they did believe in heaven and came to question Jesus about that .
Rather than me being weak on context you are reading "resurrection" and substituting the word "heaven" in your mind.
They came to check Him out as to how logical the resurrection was. Hence their final challenge to Jesus was:
"IN THE RESURRECTION, THEN, whose wife will she be of the seven? For all had her." (22:28)
The first part of the answer Christ gave them was "You err, not knowing the Scripture nor the power of God. For IN THE RESURRECTION [my emphasis] they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like the angels in heaven"
They do not marry because they are "like the angels in heaven." That is all. He meant men resurrected who are like the angels in heaven in regard to marriage.
Tell me, the angels in heaven praise and worship God. If I praise and worship God like the angels in heaven does that prove that I am in heaven too?
The passage says "in the resurrection" but you are mentally inserting "in heaven".
John Hagge & Bennie Hen Man Bennie needs to get a hair cut & well Hagge need to lose 200Lbs. These guys are jokes but what can we say. I do have a problem with these televangelists. Always asking for money while in real expensive suites and all. I guess I should not hate on them LOL 🙂 but its old stuff.
