The flowing of the Holy Spirit through a person acts in the same way the flowing of water does in the process of water producing petrified wood.
The old element of the fallen man is removed, bit by bit.
And the new element of Christ is added to replace this bit by bit.
So receiving Jesus one must remain in this flow and log more time in this flowing. It is gentle. It is faithful. It does not stop because the Christian had some failures. It is not like a fickle man.
All who have the Holy Spirit are actually in this process of a kind of petrification - removing of the wood and replacing with minirals.
The end result will be full transformation of the soul into the image of Christ.
Sorry, it is not arrested or halted by a Christian having a failure here and there. We have the blood of His redemption to restore the fellowship and the flow.

@sonship saidObedience to the commandments of Christ proves that the Spirit of Christ is in the believer. In the story of the good Samaritan, the Samaritan had Gods Spirit within him but the priest and Levite did not, even though they would have had an outward appearance of righteousness. The Samaritan by his good works and compassion for another person in need, show that Jesus was flowing through him.

All discussion with you ends in your brute force assertion that dogmatically announces the other person is in error.
All talk with you quickly and eventually ends in you diatribes of condemnation to all except yourself.
@sonship saidDiatribes are what you produce, not me. Clearly you do not know the meaning of the word. A believer in the doctrine of Christ would not criticize what I say either so you must be following some other doctrine.

@Rajk999
Well let's put it to the test right here on this thread.
What have I written in this thread which is not according to the "doctrine of Christ" ?
You like to disagree with me on general principle. So you should be able to find something to disagree with.
@sonship saidYou are really missing a few screws. You just vehemently disagreed with me on the single most basic proof of having Christ, or the Holy Spirit or Gods Spirit flowing in a believer, that of obedience to the commandments of Christ. Why are you now asking dumb questions.

You want me to repeat it? Here it is
You are a promoter of mouth worship
You do not understand the teachings of Christ
You do not preach the teachings of Christ.
You rather promote the teachings of men.
There you go.
You are really missing a few screws.
This is exactly what I mean about your kind of discussion.
You sure didn't take long to prove my point did you?
All discussion with you ends in your brute force assertion that dogmatically announces the other person is in error.
Thanks for a ready to go demonstration right up front in your response.

Another demonstration right up front of -
All talk with you quickly and eventually ends in you diatribes of condemnation to all except yourself.
Your persistent daydream is that obedience to Christ is somehow not important in my presentation of the New Testament.
Actually believing into Him is not once for all. To obey you must believe more and more that He can be all things for you and in you.
In this way the living Person of Christ, through faith, makes His home in our hearts, just a Paul petitioned for the church.
That Christ may make His home in your hearts through faith. (Eph. 3:17)
That is not just for initial salvation. That need for Christ to settle down in each and every chamber of our psychological heart is that we may live Christ - live in "the obedience of faith"
The heart is the mind, emotion, will, plus the conscience.
These four parts of man compose "the heart" in the spiritual / psychological sense.

You don't waste time do you?
Didn't take too many posts.
@bigdoggproblem saidNo. It's real. 🙂
Is it like Star Wars, when a Jedi feels the force flow through him?
@rajk999 saidHypocrisy. Jesus spoke well about your type. "For they say, and do not".
Diatribes are what you produce, not me. Clearly you do not know the meaning of the word. A believer in the doctrine of Christ would not criticize what I say either so you must be following some other doctrine.
You talk a lot about obedience, but you show contempt toward others while you disobey the commandment of Jesus who said to love your neighbor.
@rajk999 saidEver notice that after all these years and thousands of threads and ten thousands of posts that neither FMF or divegeester ever challenges you on anything you say?
You are really missing a few screws. You just vehemently disagreed with me on the single most basic proof of having Christ, or the Holy Spirit or Gods Spirit flowing in a believer, that of obedience to the commandments of Christ. Why are you now asking dumb questions.

It's obvious. You're three peas in a pod. You all have a common enemy. FMF's the mouth, divegeester's the metaphorical clown and you're the club.
@secondson saidStop parading your ignorance. Love your neighbour has nothing to do with putting up with the false teachings of churches today. Silence when confronted with false teachings is not love.

@rajk999 saidThen why do you degrade people? Why do you insult people? Why is your language so full of vitriol against a person?
Stop parading your ignorance. Love your neighbour has nothing to do with putting up with the false teachings of churches today. Silence when confronted with false teachings is not love.
Why can't you discuss the topic rationally without assaulting a person's character?
Because you hate people?

Asked to identify a false teaching in this thread, I don't think you have yet.
Where is the falsehood in this teaching of the New Testament ?
Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If anyone thirst, let him come unto Me and drink.
He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, out of his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.
But this he said concerning the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were about to receive; for the Spirit was not yet, because Jesus was not yet glorified." (John 7:37-39)
Could you pinpoint the false teaching there ?
@secondson saidOh the irony.
Then why do you degrade people? Why do you insult people? Why is your language so full of vitriol against a person?

@secondson saidI hate lies and liars just like God and Christ hates these things and people as well:
Then why do you degrade people? Why do you insult people? Why is your language so full of vitriol against a person?
Why can't you discuss the topic rationally without assaulting a person's character?
Because you hate people?
These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
A proud look,
a lying tongue, and
hands that shed innocent blood,
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations,
feet that be swift in running to mischief,
A false witness that speaketh lies,
and he that soweth discord among brethren.
(Proverbs 6:16-19 KJV)
Notice that lying is stated twice. All liars will be cast into the lake of fire. You and sonship continue to twist and lie about the teachings of Christ and Paul.
