Ahh, I thought you had intended to correct him, and inadvertently wrote "it's".
If I had meant to just echo him, I would've said "it's"? "it's"?? Well, that's not ignorant at all, is it?
lol.
It's at most sloppiness if it's merely a typo, which of course it was.
Perhaps I could suggest that...
Those who type perfectly, should correct the first typo...
Seems oddly familiar...

However there are degree's of being dyslexic, it's a spectrum.
I'm more dyslexic than some, and less than others.
And it's nothing to do with my 'opinion'.
I was diagnosed as being dyslexic as a child.
And consequently know a reasonable bit about it.
It's also hereditary, My mother is dyslexic, and so is my sister.
Also... It's not an affliction.

A career that doesn't need much/any STEM qualifications...
A career that requires creativity...
It has appeal for many dyslexics.
Of course there may well be those who claim dyslexia because they are bad at
spelling... However if they actually test you, being bad at spelling is not a major
part of the test.

Isn't dyslexia more commonly associated with writing letters of a word out of order? I wouldn't think using an apostrophe carelessly would be in the same ballpark. Or grammar errors over spelling errors. Of course, I don't know since I'm not dyslexic, and I know exactly... let's see... oh yeah, zero people who are dyslexic. And no one I know even claims to be dyslexic, and yet a surprising number of people I bust online for spelling errors claim to be dyslexic. Maybe it's the anonymity factor at work. I can't claim to 'know' they aren't, so...
Hmmmm, I know I'm seeming incredibly insensitive to the issue. I've never even suspected that you were dyslexic. But so many people online say they're dyslexic, I'd be kinda pissed at them claiming it if I really was. I guess this is part of what I meant by 'affliction'. I'm sure you must get people scoffing at you all the time. I admit I did at first merely because you don't exhibit a lot of signs of it.

It's not like you can't spend a few more seconds or even minutes to carefully edit your message.
Since 2005, I have endeavored to keep my typos to a minimum.
Result: very, very few.
Since the advent of texting, I have made an equal attempt to ensure my messages follow the basic rules of syntax.
Would it be easier to acronym and abbreviate words and phrases?
Sure. But I want the reader to know I thought about what I was transmitting, that I thought enough to give language--- and thus my thought--- the formal dressing it deserved.
Why? Cuz i <3 werdz an idees.

But I still have such an aversion to the less-than being given equal passage with the standard.
If I go to Germany and ask if I may have a little boy in the bathroom, I expect to get a Doc Marten planted firmly in my gluteus maximus for the affront, no matter how sincere my request to find a restroom for normal purposes.
Just because I mean well doesn't mean I do well.

The killer indication of dyslexia (in concert with other things) is a major discrepancy
between verbal and written IQ scores.
I have a verbal IQ of 151.
And a written of 83.
That and a significantly below average short term, or working set memory.
Coupled with a spelling age of 12 (as in I spell like the average 12 year old).
The reason that it doesn't show is that I have a browser with a built in spell-checker,
and I routinely check words with google.
I work hard to produce posts that are clear and easy to read precisely because I am
dyslexic and find it hard to do so...
Which is why people who don't put in the effort to produce coherent posts irritate me.
[GB being a prime example]
I also, if given the choice, would not stop being dyslexic.
My brain is wired differently than a 'normal' non-dyslexic, and what I lose in spelling and
writing ability. Is more than made up for in improved creativity and spacial thinking.

I take a lot of time over my posts.
So take your holier than f'ing thou attitude and shove it where the sun doesn't shine.
At least unlike you the content of my posts is coherent.
