@bigdoggproblem said"Human skin is porous; the world flows through you. Your senses are large pores that let the world in. By being attuned to the wisdom of your senses, you will never become an exile in your own life, an outsider lost in an external spiritual place that your will and intellect, have constructed.”
The reason Jesus doesn't flow through me is that I am not porous.

There is no God.
The next time you try the popular tactic to say something like "I just LACK a belief in God and make no truth claim" remember that here you have made a truth claim.
You will no longer be able to posture yourself that all the burden of proof is on the theist for his claim. You have just acknowledged that you as well shoulder the burden to support YOUR truth claim.
@sonship saidAn atheist merely rejects your truth claim which is unsupported by empirical evidence.

Hmmm. I'll think about that point.
Can you defend empirically that the only things we should believe are things that can be scientifically proven?

@sonship saidI genuinely do not believe you when you say that. It invariably means you are kicking the can down the road.

@sonship saidThat genuinely makes no sense and is a poor quality quip.

I generally do not believe you when you act objective.
@Ghost-of-a-Duke
I want to talk about Jesus more than you or me.
You or me is not the central matter as far as I am concerned.
Now there are obstacles to the flowing of Jesus. If we are not sure what they ARE . . . we can always humble ourselves and go to God and ASK what they are.
He will show you what they are. And often you will be amazed at God's insight into your heart. Now here is the lyrics to a song some of us sing.
Dig away, dig away, dig away (So HIS LIFE may flow)

Listen and then study the lyrics. They come out of experience.

Dig away, dig away, dig away,
Condemnation in my heart dig away!
Dig away, dig away, dig away,
Condemnation in my heart dig away!
All the guilt has to go
That His life may flow... Hallelujah!
Dig away, dig away, dig away,
Condemnation in my heart dig away!

Dig away, dig away, dig away,
All my vain imaginations dig away!
Dig away, dig away, dig away,
All my vain imaginations dig away!
All my dreams have to go
That His life may flow... Hallelujah!
Dig away, dig away, dig away,
All my vain imaginations dig away!

Dig away, dig away, dig away,
All my troublesome emotions dig away!
Dig away, dig away, dig away,
All my troublesome emotions dig away!
All self love has to go
That His life may flow... Hallelujah!
Dig away, dig away, dig away,
All my troublesome emotions dig away!

Dig away, dig away, dig away,
All resistance in my will dig away!
Dig away, dig away, dig away,
All resistance in my will dig away!
All self will has to go
That His life may flow... Hallelujah!
Dig away, dig away, dig away,
All resistance in my will dig away!
5
Dig away, dig away, dig away,
All self seeking in my heart dig away!
Dig away, dig away, dig away,
All self seeking in my heart dig away!
All my hopes have to go
That His life may flow... Hallelujah!
Dig away, dig away, dig away,
All self seeking in my heart dig away!

Life can flow, praise the Lord, life can flow!
From the fountain in my heart life can flow!
Life can flow, praise the Lord, life can flow!
From the fountain in my heart life can flow!
When my heart’s wholly free,
Christ can flow through me... Hallelujah!
Life can flow, praise the Lord, life can flow!
From the fountain in my heart life can flow!

All that is pointless mouthworship / dead faith and dead water
Here is the living faith and living water.
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. (Matthew 25:34-36 KJV)
We can "dig away" the stoppages to the flow of Jesus through:
Confession,
Repentance,
Turn our trust to Jesus,
Turn our heart to Jesus.
We can dig away by confessing vain imaginations and dreams,
evil intentions and even self seeking anxieties.
We can dig away the dirt from out hearts with praise to Jesus and thanksgiving to God.
Life can come into out innermost being and Jesus can flow.
Out flows the old and in flows the new.
God wants Jesus to flow through us.
This flow of the Spirit of Christ will transform us into "precious stone" for His city New Jerusalem.
There is no virtue in talking about Jesus.
But the Scriptures says to -
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to God the Father through Him." (Col. 3:16)
So there certainly is virtue in believers speaking about Christ to one another, and even SINGING about Christ to each other.

Talking that leads to repentance, that leads to righteousness is virtuous.
