That's not quite the same as "trying to paint all Fundamentalist Christians as apartheid-supporting racists", is it?

Everything in science is a theory?

Unless I am taking this post too literally, you should go back and slap your science teacher.
Scientists never claim absolute knowledge. Unlike a mathematical proof, a proven scientific theory is always open to falsification, if new evidence is presented. Even the most basic and fundamental theories may turn out to be imperfect if new observations are inconsistent with them

Hopefully they'll be selected against

Not quite -- you're right.

If BdN claims that he wasn't even hinting at a correlation between the two, I'm happy to admit my induction was faulty and apologise.

EDIT: Suppose I said:

"By some curious paradox, some of the most vicious, unrepentant rapists I've met are also of intransigently atheist persuasion."

What would I be implying here?

I think all three of us know this game; I'm the only one calling it out. But, as I said, if I'm wrong I'm only happy to apologise.

You should apologize, since there really are racists that use Christianity as their hook to get converts to their racist persuasion.

You'd be implying that you know quite a few rapists, which is interesting. Where'd you meet them?

Now, the conjunction of racism and Christianity is, to me, paradoxical. That some intransigent atheist should also be a vicious, unrepentant rapist would strike me as no more than coincidental, since mere atheism doesn't preclude appalling behaviour.

Well done for figuring out the South African connection, by the way. I found it amusing that a troublesome South African should crop up on a day that another South African had opened a thread apparently just to cause trouble.

Is there anything else to be squeezed out of this non-issue?

Of course it is, if your defensive paranoia overrides your common sense.

I'm more bemused and amused by this silliness than offended, so no apology is required!

Actually you may be on to something here, since Christ never showed any racist tendencies, why do some " Christian " denominations?

Next you'll be telling me Columbus faced opposition from people who thought the Earth was flat.
I think you know full well what I was implying and that was to get him and maybe you also to read the link I provided, it may give believers such as yourself with at least a an inkling of what we who (putting it mildly) do not believe. It should at least give you some personal insight as to what we feel is so wrong about christianity.

Better stay away from Matthew 15:24-26.

You don't honestly think that the Jesus in that link you provided had any resemblance to the Jesus of Christianity, do you? It was a mere caricature portraying Jesus as a fanatical lunatic. Whenever did Jesus say, "An angel is an angel...it has wings"?
