@fmf saidI'd rather confront you about your mischaracterizations of the scriptures and your mud slinging innuendos directed at those that believe God more than you.
The doctrine they propagate: the inexplicably cruel and neverending violence meted out by their God figure as revenge for non-belief/unforgiven "sins".

@moonbus saidI can't find anything in the Bible that supports anything you said.
This is a point I have made countless times in other threads here, but I guess it has to be repeated yet again. The Bible is a snapshot in time, frozen at the 4th c. Not everything in it is morally defensible now; there are things in it no sane person, Christian or otherwise, should believe or put into practise. (Ex. 22:18 a case in point -- despite what Jesus said, namely, " ...[text shortened]... e.
This is not my personal opinion; it has been official doctrine since the time of the Apostles.
@josephw saidI know full well this is what you'd rather say and do. That's why I frequently have to urge you to have a bit more discursive courage. You have your shorts knotted about my perception of the doctrine - a doctrine even you think is ugly and wrong - but you are too interpersonally weak to take it up directly with those who propagate it.

@fmf saidI guess you missed it somewhere. The "doctrine" of everlasting punishment is a biblical truth.

Those that reject God's Christ will spend eternity separated from God in outer darkness.
There's no reason for me to "take it up" with those that know that truth.
You can't talk in a straight line because it is you that is interpersonally weak, and you lack any intellectual integrity because you lie like hell.

@josephw saidI’m not reading 16 pages of a book, I’m asking YOU.
I would direct your attention to one Robert Dick Wilson. You won't find a more authoritative person with regards to your OP.

Only 16 pages. Very interesting, but if you don't want to read it, then by all means continue in your denial.
If you should actually read it you might want to follow up with Ivan Panin. Most interesting.
Which of those scriptures you posted on the previous page which were written thousands of years before the compilation of the Bible we have today, indicate that this book is entirely accurate, entirely true, entirely moral and with no mistakes etc?
