@divegeester saidAs I have been saying your target is me, missing the mark as you are always doing.
Your unsubstantiated assertion that the bible is the complete, exclusive and inerrant word of God.
Astonishing that you are pretending you don’t know ๐
@divegeester saidShow me saying those things dive, specifically, those words.
38th time …
My “target” is your unsubstantiated assertion that the bible is the complete, exclusive and inerrant word of God.
You having fun KellyJay ๐
@divegeester saidYou do not have an example of me saying them making them my words, so they
Haha, I’ve been waiting for this little slippery dodge.
It’s good to know then that you DON’T think the bible is the complete, exclusive and inerrant word of God.
Finally we are in agreement ๐๐ป
are your words, you have been waiting for my little slippery dodge, which is what
telling you the truth?
Just as when you quote the scripture, it is the truth for you, it is only your opinion,
making it your truth, your reality which may not be someone else, but it is you so
what could anyone else know, they are not you. In the case of scripture, how dare
God's Word not conform to your opinions, instead, you conform to it!?
All your askings had nothing to do with what I said, only what you think. This is
what I mean by saying you are not consistent, truth doesn't change like opinions
facts remain facts they can be ignored, denied, rejected, or confirmed. All of
those 38 times of asking, what you were doing was trying to get me to back up
something I had not said, it was all between your ears.
You don't see the difference between your opinions and the truth, they are the
same thing for you. It is your truth, small wonder you don't like God being the
ruler of the whole universe and everything in it, being truth, He does look at the
universe that way, with the excellent exception for Him, He is correct, so it is true
for God, just not for you.

@kellyjay saidCan you point to where exactly divegeester stated that he "doesn't like God being the ruler of the whole universe and everything in it"? No, you can't. You are being deceitful again, aren't you?
small wonder you don't like God being the
ruler of the whole universe and everything in it.
@kellyjay saidSimple question then KellyJay …
You do not have an example of me saying them making them my words, so they

Is the bible the complete, exclusive and inerrant word of God?
There are three possible answers:
1) yes
2) no
3) don’t know/not sure
Which is yours ?

@kellyjay saidNo one here, including the staunchest atheists, would dispute that if there were a Supreme Being, omnipotent, omniscient, creator and ruler of the universe, etc etc, such a Being would both be (embody) and know all Truth, objectively speaking. That would almost be a definition of “God” and therefore a tautologically true statement about God (as a concept). However, it does not follow from this either that such a Being really exists, OR that such a Being if It exists is identical with the God of Abraham, OR that you personally have a purchase on that God (if such a Being exists).

Moreover, no one here, including the staunchest atheist, doubts that you feel personally saved. That is a subjective truth, true for you, an opinion you hold about yourself, which may or may not have any objective (eternal, transcendent) reality.

@moonbus saidIf it is only feelings that matters nothing matters since we all have them, and they take us in all different directions. You are right God as a concept would be the ultimate truth and righteousness and He is no different in reality either. His being accepted or rejected doesn’t change anything about God, only us.

There are no shades of truth, God is or not, suggesting it is subjective only simply means that you get to choose if God is real and responsible for everything that is, or not, depending on us. As the absolute truth all subjective thoughts about Him which doesn’t line up with the truth about Him are in error, absolutely!
Truth doesn’t change due to popularity, our personal tastes, because it feels good, it is. We in our opinions about God or anything else are only true as they reflect the reality of what we are talking about.
Since truth never conflicts with other truth the universe has in it built in fact checker ability. When what we claim matches some facts but disagree with others we know something is wrong, in our analysis or what we are calling facts.
@kellyjay saidWhich still doesn’t prove God really exists. You’re simply defining characteristics which would hold of a Supreme Being if such a Being existed. You’re not achieving anything beyond defining a Super Duper Apple which is infinitely big, infinitely red, infinitely sweet, infinitely tasty, never rots, and so on and so on ad nauseam without the slightest evidence or proof that such a Super Duper Apple really exists.

I have no more reason to believe that the Bible is the Word of God than that the Upanishads is, or the Bagavad Gita, or the Book of Mormon, or the Koran, or any of hundreds of other claimants. They don’t agree with each other, so they can’t all be true; on that point at least you are quite correct; but they might all be false.
