Starc and Johnson didn't bowl enough in the same team sadly.

Where are all the young Aussie fast bowlers? Is Hazelwood any good?

Hazlewood is brilliant. Lucky too, because without him they would seem rather thin on pace bowlers. I'm a fan of Ben Hilfenhaus, who the selectors have used once or twice. Ben's experience would be really good for the aussie team right now, who seem a bit too young.
Smith has just stepped up as captain only recently and the vice captain is Warner- who has needed much discipline and media spin to keep quiet the fact that he's actually quite dim. (Reminds me of Warne, great player but a bit of a putz otherwise)

Hazelwood is brill, thats good, Does Tait still bowl? I seen Hilfenhaus in IPL I think a few years ago, was pretty good.

They're bringing in Pat Cummins.
Like for like. He can crank it up like Starc. He's coming back from injury... Geez those fast bowlers seem so frail at times.
Tait has trouble bowling for 4 overs and is largely done except for a 20/20 here and there.
Mitch Johnson has given it up unfortunately despite getting some wicked figures in some recent 20/20's (that he's still playing)

Tait and Hilfenhaus both 20/20 specialists now.
Tait has numerous injuries and an action that doesn't stack up to 20-25 overs a day of bowling.
Hilfenhaus gave up longer formats a while back now due to dodgy knees, (and the fact his outswinger stopped swinging)

Australia still has a few quicks in the shed
James Pattinson isn't too far off a recall to Test cricket.
Jason Behrendorff is another strong contender (Tall, slippery left armer)
Jackson Bird is a great first change guy, swings it a bit, keeps it tidy.
Chadd Sayers and Joe Mennie from SA have also been in the mix. Both are above fast medium pace.
In 20/20 and ODIs we have a paddock full.
Billy Stanlake was given a go this season. Not convinced but lots of potential.
Kane Richardson has played a few ODIs and isn't bad
Andrew Tye is a death overs specialist (especially in 20/20)

Jackson Bird might be worth a bet. Apparently he's cranking it in the nets right now.

Pat Cummins looks good, i like his run up, great bounce before delivery and he varies his pace.

As long as Ireland give England a spanking and also the All Blacks give them one too and you give them a spanking in the Ashes, all is good.

We have a different perception of spanking than you, obviously.

Nice to see you and radiofool can come to some sort of an agreement on something, even if it is just (sadly) hating all English sports teams!

If you fancy Oirland on Saturday, most bookies have them at 2-1. Go fill yerr boots

I am taking England at -4 at evens

We will see

PS...where do the ABs keep getting referenced? Are you confusing the British lions tour there this summer (which might, after last Saturday, include maybe 0, 1 or 2 Scottish players in entire squad) with an England NZ tour?

It makes no difference to me who spanks you, India, Pakistan, Australia, Ireland, the All Blacks, Iceland, as long as you get a spanking. 😵
