This would have all members up in arms as for the rest of the season you win everything etc. They then decided on a commitee to look at larger improvements than a few shots and alter accordingly.
I saw that. Relax buddy 😕
I'm just trying to figure out how much better you apparently played after your iron customization...
It means you played 4 qualifying rounds in the 2 weeks you dropped 3 on your HC.
How do your calculations work there? We use the 10 best of the last 20 rounds. Here in SA it means you shaved off about 7-8 shots per round!
That's a BIG improvement.
This was done because new members joined, went out for 3 cards and were assigned a handicap. Over the following weeks they would make dramatic improvements and unfairly win everything.
my game was hot & cold pre customising, One game go round in mid nineties and the next mid eighties whereas the customisation gave me consistency and from there I was high seventies to low eighties every round.
Due an op in 10 days then 3 months or so after I will discover if it was solely the clubs or also a head game.
Originally posted by Crowley10 would seem better but a temp. handicap for your first season with reviews depending on progress may be wiser.
That's too quick.
Here you have to play at least 10 games before being assigned a HC.
I was a high handicapper for years until I saw myself on video, realised I was over swinging & too fast. I had been told for years but had o see it before believing. Needless to say minor adjustments vastly improved my game.
A newcomer could play high handicap for moths, penny drops ad a dramatic improvement over nigh eg try not to hit the ball into the next county 🙂
