Five goals in one game and they were all peaches. The guy is a magician.

I swear he's offside all the time but I guess he's just that fast.

It's that grin. If you are so obviously enjoying the game you play so well, you get credit - and deserve it.

Maradona should have a statue in Stirling castle beside Robert Bruce for services rendered to the Scottish nation, folk hero that he is . Messi is good but he can't touch Diego.

Yes, he should be awarded the 'Golden Glove'. Indeed.

When asked about the incident he alluded to England rather blatant cheating in their
world cup win of 66, yes it was sixty six, just in case i forgot, anyway, he's folk hero in
Scotland and a better player than Messi will ever be.

Terry Butcher still hasn't forgotten it though, muhaha!

You mean, back when English players, particularly those from lower leagues, were known as leg-breakers?

Oh, wait, they still are.

Perhaps in the 1970s Messi would have been as good as, oh, Cruijff?

The first half of that is true, right and proper, the second half is nonsense. Of course Maradona is a Scotch[sic] hero, and of course he should be, and of course he deserves a statue there. But that's because he is a bad player, a horrendous cheat and an junkhead (IOW, he'd fit right in in any Glasgae pub), not because he's any good.
