That's the cliche, but in the World Series last year the teams averaged 4.92 runs per team per game which was higher than the approximate 4.6 RPG during the regular season for both leagues. And that's with not using a 5th (or even a 4th starter for the Yankees) and not keeping garbage men in the BP.
as long as you're quoting stats, how many pennants or world series' were won on errors or managerial blunders? does it matter? If stats were all that counted, then why would they play at all?
