No doubt. It's very hard (impossible) to criticise Wenger for the football that he tries to get his team to play.
Ferguson approaches games in the same way, and tries to build teams full of attackers. Recently, he has tried to make his team tougher to break down as well. In his European naivety, in thinking that his team could beat any other team in t Giggs, Brown, Rossi, Campbell, Da Silvas, Evans, etc) Wenger doesn't have that luxury.

Is there something like that, i.e. ManU football school for kids, Arsenal football school, etc.?
Originally posted by Seitseevery clubs has their own youth program. man utd and west ham seem to be the most famous for producing young players.

Deco, Bosingwa, Carvalho, Quaresma, Anderson, Lucho Gonzalez, Maniche, Diego, Luis Fabiano, Helton, etc...
Try making an Arsenal list and see who you come up with.
Edit - And I agree with Rags here, Ferguson's list is also more impressive than Wenger's IMO.

Well, when faced with facts, there's not a lot to do, is it?
I guess that the fact that I like Wenger is based purely on my feelings.
Wenger is a great coach, definitely one of the best around, and I would love to have him coaching Porto. Just that many of his kids weren't all that good. Maybe he made them play well. He was on fire for a few seasons when he nabbed some amazing players (Vieira, Overmars, Petit, Henry, Bergkamp and maybe more I'm missing), but I'm just a bit more skeptical of his last seasons. He still does great things with what he has, though.

Off the top of my head, all I could think of was Jermaine Pennant and David Bentley.
A quick search reveals that the following Arsenal youths are playing the premiership...
1. Steve Sidwell - Villa
2. Jeremie Aliadiare - Middlesborough
3. Matthew Upson - West Ham United
4. Hoyte - Boro
5. Jermaine Pennant - Liverpool
6. Moritz Voltz - Fulham
7. Ashley Cole - Chelsea
8. Bentley - Blackburn
9. Larsson - Birmingham
10. Stokes - Sunderland
For United youth players, off the top of my head...
1. Beckham (AC Milan, and ex Real Madrid)
2. Butt (Newcastle)
3. Rossi (Villareal and Italy)
4. Jonathan Greening (WBA)
5. Phil Neville (Everton)
6. Bardsley (Sunderland)
7. Richardson (Sunderland)
8. Healy (Sunderland & record breaker with NI)
9. Pique (Barcelona)
10. Frazier Campbell (Spurs)
11. Danny Simpson (Blackburn)
12. Danny Pugh (Stoke)
13. Shawcross (Stoke)
14. Nevland (Fulham)
15. Higginbottom (Stoke)

Why? Who are you thinking of?

Originally posted by PalynkaI excluded players who still played for their respective club, and I didn't include Viera because I felt he was too old when he signed for Arsenal. Having said that, 20 is borderline (I thought he was 24 when he signed)
I'm not sure actually. I would include Vieira and Fabregas, though.
