Two offensive touchdowns and three safeties! Yeah, those offenses in fake football are awesome!
3 safeties!? WTF, I don't think I've ever seen 3 safeties in a single NFL game. I guess that's what happens when you try to water down the real thing.

Ullr & No1: Intentional safeties are common in Canadian Football due to the kickoffs being from the 35 and not the 20 - it's called strategy. If you want to call the CFL 'fake' and 'watered down' at least have a sliver of understanding of how the game works first, you twits.

So what if they are "common"?????? According to uzless, the CFL plays a more offense oriented, exciting brand of football than was produced by this year's Super Bowl.

Describe for us the incredible thrill of watching an intentional safety.

For excitement, try out the 2005 Grey Cup.

An AMAZING game! Better than any Superbowl I have ever seen (and I like Superbowls).

You'll notice that in the CFL, our overtime format is akin to the NCAA format which is far superior to the sudden death rules in the NFL.

It's a lot like watching the commercials during a challenged play.

Seriously, you bonehead, the point is that, in the CFL, it's wiser to concede the points than give your opponents good field position on a wider field with a deeper end zone. It's how the strategy changes in a higher coring type of football game. It has nothing to do with the game being 'watered down' like some yankee clowns claim.

Question for you, Smart Guy. If the CFL is a watered down version of the NFL, when did this watering down take place?

A simpler question for you: Which league came first?

CFL was founded in 1958. About 30 years after the NFL. So what's you're point "Smart Guy"?

Bah!

OK, the CFL was founded in 1958 however the Grey Cup is nearly 100 years old and we have been playing with these rules for that long.

So whoops!

But you get my point, Smart Guy Jr.?

The CFL rules are in no means watered down NFL rules, they are just different rules. It's a different game, not a weaker game.

Okay I get you're point Smart Guy sr.

But I still maintain it is a weaker game. As evidenced by the fact that you can take a mediocre quarterback like Doug Flutie (at best) from the NFL and make him a superstar in the CFL. And I am a fan of Doug Fluties so this is not a knock on him at all.

Warren Moon and Jeff Garcia both started in the CFL before becoming All-Pros in the NFL.

Michael Bishop, the Argos starting QB, is better than 50% of the crap QBs in the NFL right now.

Michael Bishop!? You mean the guy that couldn't make it as a 3rd string quarterback for the Patriots. LOL. You just proved my point.

I would bet $1000 that you've never seen more than one CFL game in your entire life.

I've seen more than one back when Flutie was playing. But admittedly I've seen it only a few times. I'm not claiming to be a CFL expert.

But, if Michael Bishop were better than 50% of the quarterbacks in the NFL as you say then I'm sure he'd have had a few multi-million dollar contract offers by now. I hear the Miami Dolphins could use a quarterback. I mean c'mon.

Edit:
Oh and by the way you can send me a money order for that $1000.

The CFL has a bigger field, 12 men on the field and only 3 downs instead of 4. This places a higher degree of accuracy and precision on the offense. Running backs and wide receivers have to read the defense and break o ...[text shortened]... give credit to the defense, rather than slap the offense for not adapting, then alright.
Say what you will. Your CFL champion would lose to most if not all NFL teams playing by NFL rules on a NFL regulation field.

Can't grasp the concept that both final games could be crappy to watch now can you?

It's all one is good and one is bad with you isn't it....Grey Cup game could have been just as bad to watch as the Superbowl but you just don't understand that one do you?

Us vs them...yer either with us or yer against us...yeehaw!
