Ray is not moving, after the malicious, untrue and unbacked up
allegations by Dave about me i don't blame him.
It is obvious he does not trust me, i have deleted the tie break and
will play only when Lyn and I both get proper apologies through the
forum. We both live in different parts of the UK where a person's
innocence is paramount. Dave is working on the assumption that if he
throws enough mud some will stick, he is probably correct in his
deliberate tactics. However i have never cheated by using a program
or any other player to help me choose my moves, ever. I will continue
in the KO when this is resolved to my satisfaction.
All Dave will say is someone told him that i cheat, he won't say who, i
have had messages telling me who that person is. That is why i am
suspending play in this match.
Thank you
Jane

Please have some consideration on the rest of the participants and
not spoil the tournament for us.

If you hold up the play, we won't be able to move on in the
tournament.

Don't you think that the tournament is death? All the major oponents
in the ongoing conflict are playing in the tournament. If they don't
come to an agreement I can't see how the tournament can continue in
a normal way.

yes, we're still only in round 1 (and I'm taking time to try to win my tie
breaker), but the tournament is still going strong. You say that all the
major players are in the conflict, but I didn't join to play them - I
joined to pit myself against people of my rank (1300's), and that's
still working just fine.

I didn't say that the major players are in the concflict, but that the
people that are in conflict are (nearly) all playing in the tournament.
And of course the tournament goes on for the moment, but what if
schlieman has to play sintubin (only to take one exemple) in one of
the next rounds?

OK, I hope so, I even hope the tournament can bring people back
together again. Joost
P.S.: Maybe you should have said this in English before some people
thinks you pase some secret messages

sorry, I must have beenn thinking we were messaging in our game. I
translate literally:

"one of the two would go through to the next round"

sorry, I misread you. I see what your saying. But if people refuse to
play in future rounds because of personal reasons then they forfeit
and the tournament continues. Practically, the tournament loses no
more than if the disagreements had started before hand and these
people had never signed up.
Most of the difficulties I see are for the director, who's already put
enough work into this, and might now have to decide whether to keep
handing out byes, or make repairings (maybe it's worth asking people
to state now whether they are willing to continue through the
tournament regardless of who they're paired with, or drop out before
round 2 starts?)
Maybe if 2 people on opposite "sides" were paired it could repair some
of the damage when they gat back to playing chess - or maybe not...

If any of this reads as aggressive or nasty in any way please just
disregard it - I've had a REALLY bad week, not helped by a game
losing stupid move earlier, and my tact centres probably aren't
functioning

You say most of the difficulties are the tournament Director's, however
All of the problems have been caused by untrue remarks made by
Schliemann, accusing, without presenting any evidence, players of
cheating.
Who would benefit if those players withdrew?
Who remains silent when a real man would apologize?
WHO IS THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR?
