The clan system needs a major overhaul to make it more level, Russ has already done a little but more needs to be done. Moonbus outlined excellent suggestions and if these were implemented the place could be saved.

i think people are now tiring of the clan format, i would be up for clan tournaments that would be a cross between tournaments and clan leagues where a clan sets up number of players, ratings, timeout etc, and invites other clans to join within those parameters, clan leagues just don't work as everyone enters their top rated players so those loaded with lower rated players can never compete on fair level

sure that might work. the first thing that needs to be done though is to divorce the overall rating from the clan rating, sandbagging is the formats biggest problem. One could still be creative with pairing players but sandbagging is a blight on the system and it needs to be stamped out.

Can you explain why Vespin and McTayto continue to hand your clan games without even making a move ??
I am sure that suggestions to improve the clan system are worth looking at.
When these improvements are implemented, I am also sure that clans like Metallica and Wycombe will be there to compete fairly.
And when that happens, we will all see that you have not been cured of your own personal obsessions.

And already have put up another challenge to them.
No one really thinks that Moonbus' suggestions will fix that nonsense that you are perpetrating !!

Cheating is never the answer. I for one will not be re-newing my subscription if a roll back in points isn't done. This site has become a laughing stock on other chess sites. I'd sooner not be a part of it, if admins can't control things. Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Only reason I am here is to play in the clan challenges, what is the use if they are all ready fixed before a piece is moved on the board???
