Funny you say that. Every time I saw Frodo I kept getting pogo-flashes.

Anybody heard the Brian Jonestown Massacre song David Bowie I Love You (Since I was Six)? Somehow Anton Newcombe captures the essence of the Ziggy-era Bowie. I was left wondering which Bowie song it sounded like, only to conclude that it didn't sound like any of them, but was somehow 'Ziggy'. It's on their Take It From the Man album.

Agreed. Who do you think could pull it off?

Steve Buscemi comes to mind. I'm not sure about that, though.

oh ok - that doesn't sound quite so far-fetched. why not just get iggy to play iggy? he has some acting experience, and i suppose he really just has to be himself...

Incredibly talented artist, though he definitely went through a lean creative patch in the mid to late 80s.

My fave songs:

"Heroes", Ashes to Ashes, Fame, Golden Years, Moonage Daydream, The Bewlay Brothers, Changes, The Man Who Sold the World, All the Madmen, Rock'n'Roll Suicide, Rebel Rebel, Sweet Thing/Candidate/Sweet Thing (reprise), It's No Ga ...[text shortened]... Wall, Moss Garden, Blackout, Battle for Britain, DJ, Quicksand...ok, that'll do to start.
I love his famous stuff but this would be a setlist that I'd dream of:

Watch That Man
Five Years
Golden Years
Sweet Thing
Cracked Actor
Lady Grinning Soul
Teenage Wildlife
God Knows I'm Good
Always Crashing In The Same Car
Sons Of The Silent Age
Big Brother
The Width Of A Circle
Beauty And The Beast
Life On Mars
Starman
Here Today, Gone Tomorrow
Aladdin Sane
Lady Stardust
Joe The Lion
Boys Keep Swinging
Wild Is The Wind

encores:
Let's Spend The Night Together
Secret Life Of Arabia

Peaked very early with the Ziggy period. Nice Live Aid spot but creativity dried up in direct correlation to the narcotics unfortunately!

Heroes....quality.

Bowie wanted to BE Iggy, but had the survival gene too ingrained 😀

But he did have some great tubes from the lost weekend, didn't he? Sufftagette City (wham bam thankyemaam!) stills holds up! Jean Genie, Life on Mars, Starman.....he was an icon all right.
