Why am I not capitulating about What?!?, pray tell... And I DO respect the Democratic System, avoiding mob rule at all cost, but that is another issue. For the record, if the Dems had won that vote, I would say that that is democracy at work. Then I would start the restructure of my life, inflation etc....

Rather than simply ask whether the voter supports the elements of BBB or even BBB itself, it gives the option of a hypothetical bill which "controls spending more". Of course, that is a biased question.
Moreover, the bill which Manchin announced his opposition to was a reduction in proposed spending from what was on the table when the poll was taken i.e. a $3.5 trillion bill over ten years was reduced to a $2 trillion one over 10 years. So the December bill did "control spending more" and thus the poll answer says nothing about the current bill and Manchin's opposition.

No, it is the AGENDA of Manchin that upsets me.
He is really a repub in disguise and repubs actually contributed to his campaign.
The most important bill coming through right now is the voting rights bill.
BTW, this version of the voting rights bill was WRITTEN by Manchin.
And don't EVEN go, Well what is the big deal about requiring ID's?
It is not about just requiring ID's, the 400+ ANTI voting right bills go WAY beyond that, like one county removing all but one polling place in a majority black town where they are all poor and there is no public transport so it is a vindictive POS legislation DESIGNED to way reduce votes from people of color and all you can puke out is 'What is wrong with voter ID'
Moscow Mitch is trying his damndest to stop ANY such legislation thinking he can overrule the majority vote.
We have to modify the filibuster and I just hope that gets done otherwise we won't HAVE a democracy any more.
