@no1marauder [i]said[/I just re-read this sentence. Does anyone here understand it.?
What you are now bitterly complaining about as a principle for Collins to follow is exactly the same one you insisted that Joe Manchin adhere to!
I read that he is saying that the Collins principle, to vote automatically for all Biden policies, is exactly what I think Manchin should do. As Suzy would say, that is a LYE! (I hate typing lie).

@no1marauder saidthat may be true, yes.
So the "essence of democracy" is one thing in West Virginia but a different thing in Maine?
all I know is, I don't want to discuss it. It is off topic
@earl-of-trumps saidAll hail the mighty Tucker Carlson!

@jimm619 saidDidn't you know? Republican politicians tell their constituents what to think, not the other way around. The politicians have the agenda and their constituents are too stupid to have their own ideas. Look at the popularity of Fox News.
OMG,
DICTATE TO THAT STATE?
You're such a dolt.
Most elected officials attempt to
follow their constituents beliefs in order to,
reflect the wishes of their constituents and also,
to GET RE-ELECTED~!.....hello? .........anyone home?
@averagejoe1 saidAre you kidding?
Need I rephrase? You say Collins could just write a letter to the Congress to enter her as a YEA to every Biden policy. Are you not implying that. I think you are.
AvJoe says that no matter what way West Va leans, what their history, that Joe Manchin was elected for his attributes, none the least of which is to think for himself when deciding/applying laws which a ...[text shortened]... ou know they are. Either YOU are stupid, or pretending to be, from where you have been cornered. 😲
It's W.Va. you're talking about.
They'd LOVE to finally see improvements to their infrastructure.
You can only drive your beat-up pickup down so many dirt roads.
@suzianne saidBut Suzianne, let me see, I’ve got it here somewhere.....let me see,,,..Oh, here it is. Ha, it is right in the thread title!

“74% of WVa approve of Manchin Vote”
@shavixmir saidApparently not in its present form, as Manchin, acting like a Repub, will stand his ground.
So, is this bill dead now?
Or is there anyway to still get it passed?
So Dems need to make it reasonable , which is highly unlikely with the horrible leftists fighting against further reduction of waste in the bill.
Shav, would you say $30T is just about enough debt? How much should a typical family making $109k a year borrow? Five million dollars? Of course not.
Geez.
@suzianne saidWhat was his lie. Rachel Lies. Does tucker? Did Tucker? What lie?
All hail the mighty Tucker Carlson!
@earl-of-trumps saidActually we want higher taxes on the wealthy which would solve the problem
Last I checked America's debt to earnings ratio was 7.5 to 1. Astounding.
Yet democrats can't wait to launch more poisonous debt into our system.
And all the while, little-d's have no idea what is even in the spending package. All they know is they want it. 2 $trillion for 10 years,
@athousandyoung saidIt won't solve the problem. It's what they DO with the higher revenue that counts, and do they even need it?
Actually we want higher taxes on the wealthy which would solve the problem
the poorest people in the country have federal income tax, social security tax, state income tax stripped right out of their paychecks. Been that way for decades. they spend more money taking the taxes from the very poor than the money they get yet they do it. See the *REAL* problem now?
As we speak the feds have the $$ and ability to give the poorest of people a minimum living wage. I don't see them doing this either.
Sorry but the dems/socialists are only holding the poor up as their cause but they could care less about the poor.
it starts out as tax the rich to gain more power. more money

@athousandyoung saidI can see while y'all all say that, Kinda like when robber Willie Stton was asked why he robbed banks, he said "because the is where the money is". You have the same mindset.
Actually we want higher taxes on the wealthy which would solve the problem
But Thousand, the most stringent tax that the population can come up for the rich, 50% of whom pay NO taxes, would be able to run the country for only a few days. A drop in the bucket. Y'all need a more reasonable plan to pay the way of the all the losers. One way is for 90% of our citizens to to support ourselves. Have you thought of THAT??

@earl-of-trumps saidI agree that the dems do not 'care about' the poor. It is quite obvious that their actions, like opening the border for new Dem votes, but closing the borders to Cuba, because cubans would not vote their liberal policies......their actions are really to own all the poor who vote liberal. We have discussed this road.
