@athousandyoung saidNot really a religious killing, according to the article it was because he threw a hand grenade into a market, so they chased him down and killed him.
2014 is the last time I know of.

@divegeester saidVery big change next elections π€
Countries have to find ways of cracking down harder and smarter on insurgencies.
As for Macron, I’ve never been a fan as I see him as a toady of the EU. But the landscape has changed, is changing, and his europhilic reformations are starting to appear incongruent in country deeply entrenched in traditional socialist economics.
I predict a big change in France at the next elections.
France will be far right and immigration stops.
@cheesemaster saidGood to hear the French are finally becoming "woke". Scandinavians are finally waking up too.

@deepthought saidMaybe so, DT.
There is rather more to Sharia than execution methods. Most of it is perfectly acceptable. In the UK if a contract contains words such as: "This contract should be governed by Sharia Law." then the courts will accept that, since it is a term in the contract, provided there is no contradiction with English or Scottish Law. The Muslims are perfectly happy with that.
I ...[text shortened]... ot apply externally. Within mainstream Islamic thinking I believe that they have damned themselves.
But somehow, in America, I can't see it as perfectly acceptable if a contract says it
should be governed by KKK law. It would look a bit awkward.
@shavixmir saidThat's because you are fool enough to think of her as nothing more than a religious figure.
Says the sucker who’s glad they’ve added another Christian extremist to their highest court.

[New South Wales] Supreme Court allows Jewish law to govern employment contract
@athousandyoung saidThat was a contract between a synagogue and a rabbi in which they agreed beforehand to follow Jewish law.https://www.lexology.com/library/detail.aspx?g=1b3700d1-3d44-46d0-9a8c-b74521c5a86a
[New South Wales] Supreme Court allows Jewish law to govern employment contract
"Importantly, the Rabbi’s employment contract provided that the contract would be defined in accordance with Halacha, or Jewish law. The contract also provided that any disputes arising under the employment contract would be decided according to Jewish law by the Chief Rabbinate of Israel or by mutual agreement between the Rabbi and the Board of Management."
Muslims demanding they be allowed to set up courts of Sharia law and replace French law and courts is a whole new ball of wax.

Leviticus 16:33

@cheesemaster saidFar right people in France tend to be imperialists who want to dominate West Africa. Franco was far right and he won the Spanish Civil War with Moorish troops.

@dood111 saidI’m pretty sure he didn’t mean it is ok to behead Christians he would have been commenting on the anti Christian zeitgeist especially amongst jihadis.
Just as a test I alerted the mods to his two posts, I bet they stay up.
Meanwhile anything we say gets removed no matter how benign as long as one of the lefties whines about it.
He would like to paint powerful Christianity as the worlds victims rather than one of the main perpetrators of death and destruction.
@dood111 saidIn essence it’s the same ball of wax because the only serious call is for access to sharia law if both parties have agreed to it and never in the criminal court realm.

It’s about contractual arrangements such as marriage between two Muslims.
But do carry on screaming and waving your arms about.
@deepthought saidIf Muslims who claim that Islam is a religion of peace want to be taken seriously, then the onus is on them to do more than merely condemn the violence of fanatics. They must actively reach out to people like the Tunisian killer and instruct them in the ways of living at peace in a secular society. And they must do so the very day angry young men touch European waters, soil, or air space. Angry young men such as the recent Nice attacker won't believe anyone but one of their own; that is why it is incumbent on Muslims who are already integrated into secular society to get to them before they do harm.

If Muslims who have learned to live at peace in a secular society fail in this mission, they risk being marginalised themselves in such societies, and ultimately they risk the imposition of very restrictive laws, although no one wants such restrictions, which cannot but be interpreted as suppression of Islam.
