@mott-the-hoople saidHe said they want to sunset it. Vote on it. Definitely not a lie. At least three Republicans in the room have proposed that. Johnson, Lee and Scott.
you dont think biden saying republicans want to eliminate social security was a lie?
It's a good idea. You can't keep cutting taxes and then pretend you can still pay for extravagant social safety net programs. They can't be paid for at current tax rates. So either cut these programs or raise taxes.

@phranny saidI did. See my post to Shav. He said page 2, number 10, .."You have a right to housing". THEN, he said to read the article, the 'dam;' article as you call it. Why are y'all so angry all the time?
Just read the damn article. You are so friggin lazy.
Anyway, I read the article, see above. and even quoted it, which he was too 'lazy' to do. It says 'everyone has the right to own property alone, as well as in association with others". That is what it says. That is NOT what Shav says it says.
So ,now that that is cleared up, le us get Shav back in here and tell us what he means. He says everyone has a right to housing. If he tries to keep defending his statement, I submit to you, Phranny, that everyone has a right to transportation, too. There is no difference.
So, imagine me starting a thread..."Everyone has a right to transportation,!" Just how would you respond? You would run me out of town and say quit bothering you.
Bring it, Shav! You fellas leave everything hanging when you have been bested....like, you don't want to have any fun!!! So, why do you do this at all??
@mott-the-hoople saidYour link goes to a Carfax ad. I watched the speech. Is this just semantics? What's the dang difference?

Sunsetting is a good idea. Republicans disagree. Raise taxes on wealthy or sunset the social safety net. These are the options. Republicans just dont want to pay for their toys anymore?

@wildgrass saidsunsetting may be a good idea…I want to know why biden, and now you are lying about it?

@phranny saidI guess to a light footed liberal , a speech including half truths ** qualifies as a solid speech. Yo guys are really entertaining. ESP Shav on this “right to housing “ issue.

No outrght lies. Some half truths. Some exaggerations. It was a solid speech in my opinion.
**. Half truths are by their very nature half-lies,
You guys are really entertaining.

@averagejoe1 saidThey do, though. They keep calling Biden a liar but if they want to sunset these programs then why are they booing the comment?

@averagejoe1 saidI’m sure there are many things that people take for granted, that are not expressly enumerated in the constitution.

And like with therapy, it’s best you do your own work when it comes to basic, general knowledge.
But, here ya go:
Article 17
Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others.
No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property.
Article 25
Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.
@shavixmir saidarticle 17 and 25 of what?
