I agree actually.

So in that context; what happened on Jan 6th was absolutely atrocious and Trump could have and should have acted immediately to defuse it, but he chose not to. I’m yet to be convinced that he actually instigated it, he may have done, but I do think that specific side of the argument is a little ambiguous because as you note Trump frequently uses hyperbole to make a point, plus he rambles and is sometimes quite incoherent.

The three things I’m interested in with the recent US political activity are:

1) what happened in the election and why, specifically in terms of the voting swings across the issues and demographics
2) what are the Republicans actually saying they are going to do and especially how
3) what actually happens and how

It was also quite insightful to observe the liberal response to the result from an amusement perspective.

I know you were told that on right wing social media, but when all the votes are counted this year turnout will be about the same as 2020 (maybe approximately a million or 0.6% less).

And this election was no more "monitored" than 2020.
