Good grief.

Shav,

I know there are no elves, nor ferries, no magic spells or lightening from fingertips, so it is tough for you to understand. So back to your World of Warcraft or Warhammer for you.

Her father is a conservative. That could have something to do with it.

Ayn Rand sucks the peanuts out of faeces through a straw.
Her politics and her philosophy are so full of holes that you couldn't even drain potatoes in them.

Seriously. Only Americans take her seriously... and even then only a few of them.

If only a few Americans take her seriously, that does not make us incorrect.

Millions believed in Communism, but they were wrong. A large number of sheep in a flock does not make it smart or correct.

What do you mean communism was wrong?

Who the hell opposed the nazis while the jews and the capitalists kept dealing with them?

Who opposed Franco?

Who opposed Stalin in the Soviet Union itself?

Who's managed to build trade unions, worker's rights, free health care, etc.

Who opposed the Vietnam war?

Who opposed the Iraq war?

Who opposes the Israeli behaviour in Gaza?

Communists. That's right.
You're mistaking State capitalism for communism. End of bloody story.

Hey, I have the truth too you know. Highly evolved beings from Sirius beam ultraviolet rays of truth at my tinfoil hat receiver. It's wonderful! Sure, the skeptics laugh ... the sheep ...

Being the kinetic sort of actor I would suspect that her response to that question might not display much cerebrum, so if I were you I would be very wary of a swift roundhouse to the scone if you were to be in any way disparaging of her ability to authentically suspend your disbelief in portraying a Randian woman. The arc of your body as it follows the impulse of her foot prior to crumpling would certainly suspend something 😛

Suspended from my disbelief ... But I rather think that Ayn Rand would have drooled over the pneumatic actress. Of course for a truly Randian performance Jolie's character would have to submit -- SUBMIT! -- to a granite-jawed hero.

Speaking of bloody stories, here are the mass murder numbers sponsered by communist governments:

20 million in the Soviet Union
65 million in the People's Republic of China
1 million in Vietnam
2 million in North Korea
2 million in Cambodia
1 million in the Communist states of Eastern Europe
150,000 in Latin America
1.7 million in Africa
1.5 million in Afghanistan

Communists. That's right.

In the Soviet Union alone, under the regimes of Lenin and Stalin, the really nice communists can take the credit for:

the executions of tens of thousands of hostages and prisoners

the murder of hundreds of thousands of rebellious workers and peasants from 1918 to 1922 during the Red Terror

the Russian famine of 1921, which caused the death of 5 million people

the extermination and deportation of the Don Cossacks in 1920

the murder of tens of thousands in concentration camps in the period between 1918 and 1930

the Great Purge which put out of existence almost 690,000 people

the deportation of 2 million so-called "kulaks" from 1930 to 1932

the deaths of 4 million Ukrainians (Holodomor) and 2 million others during the famine of 1932 and 1933

the deportations of Poles, Ukrainians, Balts, Moldavians and Bessarabians from 1939 to 1941 and from 1944 to 1945

the deportation of the Volga Germans in 1941

the deportation of the Crimean Tatars in 1943

the deportation of the Chechens in 1944

the deportation of the Ingush in 1944

Communists. That's right. the friendly government.

The Communist regimes have killed "approximately 100 million people in contrast to the approximately 25 million victims of Nazis"

Nazi Germany's methods of mass extermination were adopted from Soviet methods.

"The Reich Security Head Office issued to the commandants a full collection of reports concerning the Russian concentration camps. These described in great detail the conditions in, and organization of, the Russian camps, as supplied by former prisoners who had managed to escape. Great emphasis was placed on the fact that the Russians, by their massive employment of forced labor, had destroyed whole peoples".

Communists. That's right. The party government.

Well, if you're gonna nit-pick...😉

Excellent points, Ace. I guess Lenin would just make his famous comment that "to make an omelet, you have to break a few eggs."
