He was a character who exhibited qualities that were very suggestive
of a pedophile on an American children's television show.

He did things like change his clothes on camera while
singing children's songs, and he had a mailman named
Mr. McFeely, just to give a couple examples.

I guess it would be Mr. Rodgers. I never heard anything bad about him concerning children. While I know that Michael hasn't been convicted of a crime, he does have some dirty baggage from the last time he was suspected of child abuse. This has nothing to do with the thread but, did you know that Mr. Rodgers was a former Navy SEAL. They did an article on him along with Lee Marvin and the actor who played Captain Kangaroo. Seems that both of them won the Navy Cross at Guadacanal in WWII.

Here's the transcript of an episode about children being toilet trained:

http://www.geocities.com/tvtranscripts/mrrogers/mr_1614.htm

In this same episode, he interviews a woman who plays the "oboe",
sometimes blowing hard, sometimes blowing soft.

"Please give a hug to your boys for me, will you?" -- Mr. Rogers

Also in this episode is a segment on how a child can tell
if somebody loves him. I bet you can guess one way that he says...

And if you've never seen the show, you may not be able to
follow the psychadellic trip to Make-Believe Land at the end
of the transcript, in which he pays a visit to Henrietta Pussycat
and Prince Tuesday who gets bored when his parents are at work.

I think this is a hard question to answer. They both are pretty messed up dudes. However. . . If i had to pick one it would be Michael Jacson. Lets think about this for a moment. It all has to do with money and feelings. Both Michael Jackson and Mr. Rogers have equal chances of touching my kid in innapropriate ways. Therefore the question I ask is. How can I benefit from this... granted my kid will be emotionally scarred for life. There have been 2 allegations against MJ on sexual abuse charges for adolescence. Mr Rogers 0. The first allegation was hushed up with a large sum of money from Jackson to the family. The second the same. Now if I were to accuse Mr. Rogers of raping my kid. Not a lot of people would believe me.. "you just want to take advantage of the ol man" they would say. Therefore I think the logical buisiness choice here is Michael Jackson. And afterwords press charges. Even if he did/did not sexually abuse my kid

I like your reasoning!

And after abusing your child, MJ could sing a sweet lullaby to send it to sleep!

James Brown!

Anyone see the Mad Tv where the kids wanted to hear a bed time story? And James Brown broke into the room cuz he was running from the cops?

He told a very funny version of the 3 little pigs... with back-up singers and a light show!

The clergy has a poor record when it comes to molesting children.
