The BBC is trolling licence fee payers once again.
They have awarded their “Woman footballer of the Year” to a male trans player who has failed at least two gender tests. It beggars belief, and it’s clear why the “Defund the BBC” campaign is gaining traction by the day. The UK based Women’s Rights Network has tweeted about this saying “Really!”
Women’s rights once again being eroded, but no doubt the likes of @Suzianne will contort herself out of all shape to defend the decision, and @Ghost-of-a-Duke will dunk a Hobnob in his herbal tea and continue to defend the laughable and ludicrous BBC.

@divegeester saidDo not worry, I believe their time is coming to an end., I said it before that I believe that this is the single biggest reason why Trump won in America, bringing back " normal ". This toxic cancer pervading the west is being seen for what it is. And I am not "transphobic", just pro common sense. BIG difference.

@divegeester saidWhen you cant make it in the mens division, just identify as a woman and you become a star.

Here we go again.
First: no BBC staff are in the panel that decides who becomes female footballer of the year:
Secondly: the panel puts forth. Shortlist and the public vote who they want from that shortlist.
The shortlist - based on performances from September 2023 to August 2024 - was selected by a large panel of experts involved in football around the world, including coaches, players, administrators and non-BBC journalists.https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c8jypk4xz7xo
"I am shocked and surprised to have this award right by my side," the 24-year-old told BBC Sport.
This panel did not include any BBC personnel, and the winner was voted for by the public.
Thirdly: FIFA doesn’t have routine gender verification testing.
The mentioned tests were in the Women’s African Cup. And no details of the results were made public. And, seemingly, there are contradicting stories if the tests actually took place at all. All a bit shifty then.
But, the bottom line here is that the BBC can’t be held responsible for the panel group’s shortlist or how the public voted.
As for Banda herself playing women’s football, I do see a potential problem (although many experts say that it’s a nothing burger).
But the solution isn’t banning trans women from women’s sport. It has to begin with an open discussion, facts and constructive solutions which don’t alienate people.

So the BBC is endorsing sporting awards which it has no control over, no responsibility for and no rigour in the process of how the publicly forced-funded brand is used. Hmm.
Meanwhile in the announcement The BBC made no mention of Banda previously being banded from the women’s Africa cup for high testerone levels. I’m sure the footballing officials banned her for something else. Looking at someone in a funny way perhaps.
It seems the BBC can’t be held responsible for anything, least of all unbiased news reporting.
@divegeester saidNobody knows why she was banned.

They didn’t publish details. And now it’s even uncertain she was even tested.
Far more constructive approach to this subject is: if not, then what?
@shavixmir said“They” didn’t publish the details on the trans boxer who was a male punching women in the face during the Olympic woke-fest.
Nobody knows why she was banned.

Women are being endangered with this nonsense and the left are ignoring it.

I am not ignoring it. I’ve said all along that it’s a discussion that needs to be had.
But, ultimately: if not, then what?

@Earl-of-Trumps saidCan they? 😆
It's been a farce all along, and I can't understand how it got this far.
*In my opinion*, I don't think women have been that vocal about it and I just don't understand why.
Normally, they can move mountains.
There is something wrong with women. They didn't even stand up for their right to abortion.
Very weird.
At least other volley ball teams are refusing to play San Jose State.
@jimmac saidI keep wanting to NOT believe this. 😆
I said it before that I believe that this is the single biggest reason why Trump won in America,
Supporting 'trans' was definitely a bridge too far for Dems, but a deciding factor?
@shavixmir saidMore women will be legally beaten up by biological males I suppose.
