The 3.5 trillion bill (or 2 or 1.5 or whatever it is now after Manchin mangled it) would have also come with a corporate tax increase. Revenue, as well as spending. Not that increasing debt ever bothered republicans (and granted some democrats) when it came to providing tax cuts to the wealthiest. Or increasing the military spending. Or giving bailouts to bad companies.
You always seem to have money for millionaires and billionaires. Giving them money is capitalism, it will trickle down, it boosts the economy, it makes graphs go up. Helping poor people though? That's SOCIALISM, we can't have that.

Yes, increased taxes (which are too low) on the wealthiest would pay for things for the people. Now i hear the tax increases are gone because of the 50 republican prostitutes and the 2 democrat ones. So yeah, if that stays i guess now it won't cost zero. Which is still a good deal.
