@divegeester saidHa you think Starmer is Left wing dive, no he’s a dyed in the wool centrist conservative, In terms of his rhetoric Boris was left of Starmer and if he had seen it through and focused on the job rather than his cult of personality and his personal wealth his party and would’ve been a shoe in for the next election.
Both infinitely more influential than Starmer the U-turning wet paper bag
Left or right anyone who claims that the BBC is biased in its news reporting is an authoritarian that cannot handle awkward fact
The BBC outdoor be biased against the party in power to some extent, that’s part of their public service directive as far as I’m concerned
@kevcvs57 saidNonsense. Johnson proved to be incompetent in leadership and sooner or later he would have been found out; covid just catalysed his demise. It had nothing to do with “personality cults”; whatever they are.

Starmer is a Blarite wannabe but lacks Blair’s charisma, political nous and flare in the Commons.
Centrist or right/left of centre policies will always win over the majority of the public. This version of Labour is largely a hollow echo chamber of “ooh look how bad the tories are”.
I like Rachel Reeves btw. Next leader in waiting maybe.

@kevcvs57 saidAs a public service broadcaster it must be completely unbiased, as far as I’m concerned.

I’ll pay the extra £10.50 next year because I’m a good law abiding citizen.
@shavixmir saidLacking in what way? It is not much different than the BBC. American and British propaganda is pretty much interchangeable. It is so closely aligned in bias it makes no difference which you get your news from.
Yes. It’s rather obvious the quality of news you watch is somewhat lacking.
If you are not paying to watch news, how do they pay reporters, correspondants, cameramen, editors, text writers, fact checkers, etc. ?
By… advertisements and data collection & selling… well done, lad.
Now, why do companies invest large sums of money into advertising, do you think? Because ...[text shortened]... what you drink and many of your political views are seeded within the programmes and news you watch.
I can listen to the BBC on shortwave radio and watch BBC America on PBS TV.
I guess the BBC News is lacking in some way since I have plenty of access to it here in the states. Advertising does not force me to pay for anything. If I buy a product that is being advertised it is a choice. Just because I see a lot of Lume commercials every day does not mean I buy their products, because I don't. BTW, is the BBC commercial free on TV in the UK?
The UK enforces the TV tax like the USA used to enforce cannabis prohibition laws. Invade their house to bust them so you can take their money. It is like legal stealing. You did something wrong and now we can get a cut of the money we steal from you.

@divegeester saidYou will pay it so you do not get busted and have to pay more.
As a public service broadcaster it must be completely unbiased, as far as I’m concerned.

@shavixmir saidIt's not though.
the concept is that the news station of the people is reliable.
@divegeester saidOnly the idiots in the room didn’t know Boris was an incompetent buffoon but all a pm needs is the right overall vision and with his declared aim of a high wage economy and levelling up he had that. Where he went wrong was relying on a bunch of halfwitted amateur shaman to implement the ide instead of relying on experienced civil service policy implementers. He turned number ten into a low rent version of ‘The Double Deckers’ and just focused on his corruption campaign.

Yeah that’s right Tory boy because the Tories have proven themselves to be really really bad at literally everything, it’s right wing red meat snd bites and they even have the competence to follow them through. The immigrants will be going to Rwanda any day now 😂
Face it the jig is up and all the right wing press scaremongering about the lefty labou party ain’t gonna save the billionaire midget but I can see ow shutting down or dumbing down the BBC woul be a major part of that strategy leaving the media in the hands of pro Tory billionaire media moguls. Good uk with that
@divegeester saidIt is completely unbiased you just do not like the truth about your government expoed without being filtered through the right wing media

A party for the elite can never afford the truth being related to the masses
@a-unique-nickname saidYeah it is though that’s why the foreign service is one the most popular news sources on the planet
It's not though.
It’s just scumbag right wing turds who have an issue with it
