Where's the love? Michael Moore is a true American hero.
As we're both from Michigan, perhaps I get a chance to follow his career more closely than some of you misinformed clods. One of the interesting things he's been spending a lot of his time on these days is the Traverse City Film Festival, which he co-founded in 2005. It's turned into quite an event.

OK, folks, Michael Moore's new movie is due out this fall. It looks like he's going for the whole enchilada this time. No more dealing with mere symptoms, this time he's going for the very disease itself: capitalism. I'll be there on opening day. Will you?

you can criticize it, you can call it whatever you want to call it, but the truth is that without capitalism people would be even worse.
there is no perfect system, and blaming capitalism for all the world's problems won't give you one.

Really its all that he is good at. Don't be so hard on him.
So what would you have him do if it were up to you? How would you remove the capitalistic veil from the eyes of the masses? How would you preach the gospel of the social utopia?

Picture an ugly over weight foul mouthed funny guy.....with glasses to boot.

Speaking of which, I would classify socialism as more of a throwback -- "i exist, my lord, under your protection. Provide for me all my daily needs, and I will labor faithfully for you."
Capitalism and democracy are advances because they allow the maximum of free choice -- coupled with the maximum of responsibility.

Indeed, one can argue that democracy developed in order to restrain and moderate capitalism and protect citizens from it. In dictatorship-infested Latin America, "capitalism" did very well for itself, even with their gaols full of democracy advocates. "Capitalism" and democracy are in some ways rival models for governance - especially where "capitalism" has mutated into "corporatism" and democracy has been seriously diminished, undermined or perhaps even eclipsed.
