Here is 7, pick the top 3.
Here is 10 widely believed theories, that eventually turned out to be incorrect ( some overlap with the 7 above ).

@shavixmir saidYou miss the whole point, seemingly deliberately, the report that "you" quoted disagrees with global warming as being as bad as the nutters claim. Your guardian made deliberately misleading alarmist claims choosing to ignore key points, the main one being, "NOTHING" to panic about,
Don’t be absurd.
The dude quotes the one known scientist who disagrees with tackling global warming. And then goes on to conclude this means the UN report is worthless.
Please! You right-wing nuts are moronic.

@shavixmir saidAgain, "my" guy was quoting from the UN research panel. In other words thousands of researches say you are wrong, or rather, at least, the guardian is wrong.
Yes. My guy isn’t one guy.
It’s the UN research panel, consisting of thousands of reaearch institutes and scientists.
Hence that I can safely say: the odds are very much against your guy being right.
And even more to the point of this thread: things are going to change, whether you or your guy want them to or not.
So, my guy isn't one guy.

@jimmac saidJust to curb your breathlessness, you do know that "The Australian" is a Rupert Murdoch masthead, that he took over to add some gravitas to his tits and bum show populist ravings, right?
Of course it states nothing I claimed, its the BBC. This is the article I refer to.
The climate alarmists won’t be having a good day today Bjorn Lomborg’s article will push them over the edge. These charlatans have to be closed down.
(The Australian)
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change just released its latest climate report and reactions from politicians and me ...[text shortened]...
BTW, as stated, I do not need convincing either way. I am more green than the young greens I know.

Try this one, ok, a bit older, but still uses the IPCC's data/report.
look, all I know is that these claims have been spewed out so many times they get tedious. And so many failed doomsday predictions.
... And I am expecting the, He must be biased, response again. sigh.

@jimmac saidHate to confirm your expectations, but what else would you expect from an advocate for Nuclear and Shale Oil energy? And this is a supposed environmentalist??? Do you know the extreme environmental damage that Shale Oil extraction imposes on the environment?

@jimmac saidThe best news is that renewables are getting so cheap, that in pure dollars and cents terms they are becoming the preferred option for energy investors into the future. Even the Achilles heel of renewables, large scale storage of generated power, is finally coming into view as companies like Ambri with their industrial scale molten metal core batteries after years of testing are about to get their show on the road and permanently change the energy landscape.

@jimmac saidSure. You carry on believing that, aliens, fake moon landings and Bill Gates’ secret vax chips… you go boy! Go!

@shavixmir saidsorry but are you claiming that the report does not say what these guys say it says. That is not a simple case of misinterpretation then, it is out and out lies. I do not believe that.
Sure. You carry on believing that, aliens, fake moon landings and Bill Gates’ secret vax chips… you go boy! Go!
And you can keep living in your fear bubble, just leave me out of it.
And BTW, I am vaxed, but you can extrapolate to your hearts content if it makes your truth feel more valid.

@kmax87 saidThat is good news, I have always said, getting away from fossil fuels is good, I just am not sure about the best way and I will not be dragged into the alarmists clap trap.

You are. That’s why you cling to opinions which verify the status quo, even though all research points towards something else.
I have no problem adapting to new situations. You do though. That’s why you and your like keep posting nonsense. Just to hang on to that which has passed.
@shavixmir saidOpinion?? That was what was in the IPCC report. Just not what was reported.

Your 1 article trumps my 2, got it.
And I fear neither the virus, nor climate change. Zero, zilch. Both have made those with money richer, that inc me. I have benefited from the crazies. I simply find it frustratingly amusing that some refuse to consider the other side.
I do not care what side is right, not a jot. What I do care/fear is any stupid governments response to it. I went to NZ recently and went to the beach that I used to go fishing. Guess what, The rocks I played on were still there, WOW, I could not believe it. Rising sea levels and all that. really.
So many billionaires are pushing the climate agenda, makes me a bit skeptical, is all.
